Sushi Maru @ Double Bay

This local Japanese sushi train serves consistently tasty and fresh food. The staff are warm and friendly. You can also order off the menu for a la carte and to top it off, they offer a loyalty card. Table seating or sit at sushi train 🍣

This is my local sushi place. Lots of great dishes to satisfy anyone’s taste. Always a queue either for seating or take away. Staff very well organised which makes for a pleasant experience. Medium price range which is welcome.

Nice place, cool how the trains go round and round. The staff can be a little rude, but the sushi tastes great, there is also a large variety of food! I recommend this place, check it out!

Super delicious food! Eat in or take away the food is fresh. Cute little garden in the middle of the sushi conveyor belt. Prompt service and unlimited green tea! Lovely presentation of the Salmon Aburi. Definitely eating here again!

Was starving and this was the closest place. Usually I turn to my phone to check reviews but my phone had run out of battery so I took a punt and tried this place. I'm glad I did!!! Sorry friendly service and awesome, yummy food!!! I will be back again for sure. Thanks so much!!!

Japanese is my favourite food type although no expert. Picked a few dishes off the sushi train but nicer to order from the menu. Miso soup is very nice, a good quality weathervane, I have found, no pickles though! We all loved the freshly-made hot dishes and there's lots to talk about! Loved it. Recommended.

Sometimes nick in here fir an early dinner with our young son and it's a good spot to even have dinner with a toddler. A few seated spots makes it easy and sushi train as well as ordering makes it easier to handle a toddler. The food is good and it's a nice atmosphere in there.

Excellent variety of Sushi and al a carte menu is very good for those not into sushi/sashimi. Everything is made fresh and the service is friendly and efficient.

Food was the best I ever had, especially the goyzas! Staff is the nicest staff I have met and if you come regularly they will remember your face. The only thing that might be an issue is the price, but it is completely worth it!

Certainly one of the best running sushi we've had. Very fresh ingredients, delicious and nice aesthetics in terms of decor. Very happy to have found a decent sushi place as we're tired of tasteless old fish served next day in most chain stores.

I love sushi in Maru. Mid-range price, great quality. Child friendly, and you can take away.

We go very often there and it's one of our favourite places. Pretty convenient if you have kids as you can go to the library which is staircase ahead

Love sushi Maru. We've been to the Double Bay one and the Five Dock one. Both are consistent and delicious. Love the spice softshell crab and the scallop nigiri. We would recommend this place to everyone who loves sushi.

Best sushi train experience I’ve had. Food was so good. My partner and I go to the “sushi train” chain of restaurants 1-2 times per week but only want to go to this one now as it was just that good! Chicken karage was the best

This place rocks! Fresh, yummy sushi. Heaps of salmon too. It's la perfect place for a 1st date, and if that is Nila, Sushi Maru will forever be in your mind.
