Famous for its selection of Gin… but we just came for the delicious Tapas! This has an easy and breezy atmosphere, a good place for a date night or dinner with friends/colleagues. Not really like Spanish tapas - which are normally smaller portions and more bite sized (so you can have a greater selection), but a good local adaptation. Recommended!

A beautiful gin bar and restaurant. The gin list was very very extensive… but you have fantastic servers who are able to remember them all and recommend certain flavours to suit your taste. Who knew there were so many combinations to be had from floral to fruity to peppery? The experience of mixing your own deconstructed gin, botanicals and tonics was such a fun! And it was quite amazing how tweaking one aspect changes the flavours. Highly highly recommended for gin lovers out there. The food was pretty good too - my favourite was the lamb which was so soft and delicious. The place itself was beautiful and perfect for a nice night out with friends or a date. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoors is quite noisy because it’s next to another bar with live music but indoors is more quiet for conversations. If you sit near the bar, you can admire the beautiful cocktails they produce. Great place! Must return to try more gin flavours…

Perfect customer service. Waiters knowledgeable, friendly and approachable but not overbearing, a fine art. Food was delicious and everything was beautifully presented. Even tailored the courses and how they brought out the dishes based on what we ordered. Felt like dining from a set menu there was so much thought behind which dish to bring next.

The extensive gin menu was a delight to explore and the waiter was helpful in tailoring ones choice.

Would definitely return again and again. A must visit.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner and Gin experience at this fine - ish dining little spot! The friendly experienced waiter asked all the right questions and served the perfect gin. The cod with lobster bisque was amazing

Talk about a gem. I'd never heard of Tipsy Bull before but I can see it quickly becoming one of my favourite places for a night out. From the gin boards to the AMAZING food coming out of the kitchen, the entire experience from start to finish is amazing.

The price is reflective of quality here and I would highly recommend everyone give Tipsy Bull a go, even if you're not typically a gin drinker!

Beautiful restaurant and absolutely outstanding food! The flavours were amazing and the experience was topped off with Matthew, truly one of the most delightful, attentive and caring waiters I have ever had the experience of being served by. Will be back!

Fantastic gin bar. The server listened to my normal tastes, me being a whiskey drinker normally, and make 3 perfect recommendations. The food was also excellent. Definitely a must stop for food and gin!

Turned up to Tipsy Bull absolutely blind. I had no idea what it was or what it was we were eating. All l knew was it was a set meal for the 7 of us. I should start by telling you it is in a part of Canberra with a zillion restaurants and bars, which makes the fact l got a parking spot directly outside the Tipsy Bull a miracle. The Tipsy Bull has one of the most comprehensive Gin collections l have ever seen. I chose one of my Favourite Archie Rose Gins and was not disappointed. I cannot recall a fixed menu of such high calibre since...l don't know when. Without spending paragraphs describing how good each course was, suffice to say everything was amazing!!! Now was thus the cheapest in meal l will eat this year? Not by a long shot...but the quality of the food and the service were both first rate. The service was attentive eithout bring intrusive which is what you want. Savour it as a special night out and you would not be disappointed. For Seven of us it was a shade under $900 for food and drinks and it was worth every cent. An outstanding experience worth the cost. Highly Recommended.

What an amazing experience! Lovely professional staff, the gin plate experience was so good I had to take 2 of them! Food was phenomenal! We had the chef's special and love every single plate of it! Will definitely be coming back often!

Never been to a Gin bar but blew my mind. Any flavor under the sun.....Every sip was different Everytime!!!! One tweak after another was like a mad chemist experience. Something for every palette. The food was all very good and well plated. Will now be seeking these out wherever I am in the world.

Fabulous drinks (over 300 Gin choices alone!), food is always amazing and the staff and setting are wonderful.

We have never booked but have always got a table outside (large umbrellas and heaters in winter) but if you want to be inside definitely book ahead as they are very popular x

A little gin bar that is an absolute delight. Such a wonderful idea and a great place for gin. With over 230 gins to choose from it was an such a wild time to selected which gin to drink. Every gin is served with its own botanicals and a tonic that is tailored to your gin selection.

Of course dinner has been amazing. Staff were very helpful and delivered great service. Really happy with dinner and food. Highly recommended for everyone to visit. Such a wonderful venue.

This place is absolutely one of the best Gin bar going around, The 2 cocktails we got were served deconstructed which was good. Both my partner and I were unsure about it, but making it ourselves was a really great experience, we could play with the flavours. Both were amazing.
The food was just as amazing as the drinks. The beetroot salad was the best we ever had.
I will truly recommend this place to everyone I know.

Located at the city end of Lonsdale Street next to Hopscotch, Tipsy Bull is so much better than its location and name suggests.
Food is share plates, and the menu choices range from oysters, calamari and truffle fries right up to main meals of snapper, chicken and risotto.
Serves are bigger than expected and the food was superb.
But the real star here is the gin experience – they have 230 on offer and each gin comes on a paddle loaded with ice, botanicals, tonic and instructions for how to build your perfect drink.
If the list overwhelms, the staff here know all about the gins and will quickly direct you to your perfect tipple.

If you're are a Gin lover it's great place to have a Gin. They have over 250 variety of Gin. My favorite was the XGin. Also they serve a great selection of Tapas. Very friendly staff great service and a awesome place. They have indoor and outdoor seating with heater's out side for the cold winter days in Canberra. The Gin is served with a variety of condiments to tantalize your taste buds.

Amazing selection of about 300 gins, from around Australia and around the world, skillfully presented with paired tonics, sodas and garnish. All on the side with ice so you can prepare your gin to your personal preference. Can’t tell you how much I appreciate that, after countless bars have drown my excellent gin in a flood of ice and soda over the years. Attentive service and tasty dishes that turn out to be bigger than you think. My tip is to order a few dishes and add to them later if you have room.

This place has become a favourite! Staff are lovely, friendly and knowledgeable. Always up for a chat to discuss the largest range of Gins I think in Canberra!!! The GnT paddles are such fun and you cannot leave without trying multiple.
Food is fabulous, tons off options for dietary requirements. If your looking for a catch up, meeting friends or a gathering this is the place for you.

While many people visit the nations capital for its landmarks. In my mind this is one of Canberra’s best restaurants providing a great vibe with its great tunes running in the background coupled with fantastic cocktails. The bartender will make an appropriate gin cocktail based on your tastebuds. The food is just outstanding and serves an extensive list of wines. And don’t leave without meeting Wanda - she is the proprietor and a wonderful person that we shared quite a few laughs with.
