Really nice menu choices. We had 5 different meals, all really nice. Busy but got a seat easily on a Sunday.

Breakfast tasting plate is very good for trying out different type of dishes, and the Benedict egg and sticky rices are both very impressive. Happy to have visited this cafe and prepare to visit again 😁

MAY 2023 UPDATE - Popped in for a quick lunch. The sambal scrambled eggs with chickpea and chorizo braised sauce, fried capers and roti was delicious! 👏👏👏

This is a busy cafe in Balmain and most people come for the renowned breakfasts and lunches but I dropped in on a lazy Sunday afternoon for a coffee. The piccolo was well done👌 and the lemon and blackberry yoghurt muffin was moist, flavoursome but not too sweet. There’s a good atmosphere here and a wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by 💫

One of the best cafes in Sydney. Great food and coffee at reasonable prices. Friendly staffs. Love their sandwiches. Will go again.

Four of us each had a sandwich The servers were very attentive and the price was reasonable. There are a variety of breads to choose from and they were all delicious. We had huloumi, a steak, and a chicken sandwich with fries All meals arrived together, together with excellent coffee. Food and coffee weee hot and delicious. We will be back.

It’s one of our favourite breakfast places in Balmain. You might sit at a communal table which I personally like. Especially when you can sit next to each other. It does get very busy and it’s a very noisy place.

We had the corn fritters and something with the green eggs. A bit different what we normally have in other paces; very tasty!

If you’re into ice coffee, try the special cold brew tonic.

We were after a good coffee and this is not our local area, but we were lucky to find this little gem. They no longer serve Campos due to a change in management, but their coffee blend was really good. Street parking nearby or not far from Woolworths parking lot. Can't comment on the food, but would recommend for coffee. Staff was nice too.

The coffee is the best in the area, The foods absolutelty delicious, we have salmon paradiso and breakfast tasting plate with additional mixture of oriental SEA flavour of desert.

Eggs Benedict was amazing. Service from the staff was super quick and attentive. Food came quick and perfectly. The menu is a real highlight as there are a lot of healthy options but it's not like 'you have to be healthy' vibe. High recommend if you are in balmain

Great breakfast and coffee! Had a vanilla soy latte that was delicious, and also the salmon benedict (pictured). Would definitely come back next time I'm in Sydney - great spot.

It's hard to pick a favourite cafe around Rozelle/Balmain because there are just so many, but Kafeine is definitely up there! Consistently good food, with a menu that isn't just the usual suspects you find on most breakfast menus. On this particular visit I had the breakfast tasting plate, which was lovely! I particularly enjoyed the avo salsa on the fritter, it had so much flavour. I've also had the sambal eggs with roti, amazing...and the green eggs, also great. As you can tell, I'm a fan. The staff are also very diligent and on top of things, which is great considering it can get quite busy.

Having a lunch in this place, quite busy and fast service aswell, they got alot of choice for menu and abit confusing to choose, this one in pics wassss taste goood, i like it so much, u guys can check their instagram aswell to have a look reference to eat

Brilliant coffee and fantastic fast service. They were open during COVID and always welcomed you with a cheerful hello regardless of lockdown. Beautiful spot, lovely people and great food!

There is so much competition in Balmain! There are a variety of places for someone who is a fan of coffee, and good coffee. I can see for a number of reasons why Kafeine is one of the most popular cafes in Balmain, they know what they're doing.

Not only is the coffee component good, but as there is numerous competing cafes in Balmain, it's also a big part on the service provided by these cafes, which draws me in (or also others as there is choice.)
It doesn't matter if it's 6:30am, or rush hour on a Sunday brunch, you walk in and feel welcomed, they are organised, quick and efficient, always. I appreciate that.
I've probably tried nearly every cafes coffee in Balmain, and arguably they make some of the best, it's consistently very good.
I have eaten there a bunch of times and the food, smoothies and juices off the menu are great!
