Kiem Bo Chinese & Thai Restaurant

I absolutely love this place.
It is my #1 go to for Chinese take-out.
Tonight I had the meal delivered through menu log as could not be bothered going out to pick it up. I was extremely happy that I received the same quality of food I always get, same as if i were picking it up.
I love the mixed entree, my favourite is the spring rolls. Definitely the best spring rolls i have ever had.
My other favourites are the Lemon chicken and the omelette.
The young man who answers the phone is so polite, friendly and attentive to detail. I would love to have someone like him working for me.
Overall an exceptional family business, who works hard to provide high quality Chinese dishes.

Great place, nice owners and excellent food, to the extent that other Chinese places I've been to generally don't hold a candle to Kiem Bo and in-turn, I've been purchasing from this place monthly / bi-monthly since around 2019.
Of what I have tried, I'd recommend trying the following;

General:
- Special Fried Rice *
- Sweet & Sour Pork

Chicken:
- Honey Chicken In Batter *
- Flaming Satay Chicken

Steak:
- Flaming Satay Steak *
- Braised Steak with Black Bean
- Mongolian Steak

Noodle Box:
- Hokkien Noodle Box *
- Satay Noodle Box *
- Combo Fried Rice Box (Different from special fried rice)

As a side note and to mention my main reason for posting a review is that I've been seeing a fair number of negative reviews for this business recently (which a fair number seem to be in sequence on the same topic, potentially one bad experience having friends review bomb)
And a fair number are over reasons which seem to be reaching heavily, the non-native English speaking owner not having good phone manner... Or asking the store for a refund after the delivery service stole the order...

In the end, the food isn't always perfect and I've certainly had some disappointment with weakly flavored foods here and there however, over 5ish years I've been going, the large majority of my experiences have been fairly positive and I've heard similar from friends.

I do realize the food here isn't for everyone and that it's not always going to be perfect, however, I still will strongly recommend these guys, Their food has consistently been better than a number of significantly more popular places around and I really think that Kiem Bo deserves more attention.

Also, call in advance, especially if you're going later.

If you want good done in place, Kim boasts is a place to go and also to eat and dine away, take away and dining. If you want a good customer service, kimbos is the place if you want to have good customer quality service. Deep at kingdoms, Gus kimbos is nice, caring, and considerate of customer needs. If you want to have good food, think about kimbos, but takeaway and dining Cos they are nice and the food there is quality. Nice food is not like any other place that you think about. The food at kimbos is 5 star rating and good quality. It's not like any other places where it's tough to eat through and hard the tube. But this place adkin goes. It's delicate, melting mouth. And it is very, very nice food as I said before.

Ordered take out last night. The food was absolutely delicious. I can highly recommend this place. Polite answering my order. Quick to make and pick up. FANTASTIC. Sizzling garlic prawns to die for.

Always friendly, always personalised service. This is a restaurant first, and a business second - a real family oriented operation. They make excellent food, and it's always fun to interact with the owner when we pick up our orders.

Do yourself a favour and get the pork ribs.

We ordered online and food was amazing especially the Mongolian beef melts in your mouth, honey chicken and sweet and sour pork was great also definitely ordering for there again and will have to dine in as well. The food was still hot when delivered through uber eats. Definitely recommend the restaurant.

Love the Mongolian steak, big and tasty dim sims. I've never had a disappointing meal from here and they're always really consistent.

My go to place for Chinese food in the area. Always have great tasting food that is cooked well and ready without delay. We get dinner here at least twice a month, highly recommend.
