Literally the best place for hot chips in Cabramatta. Good portion, fair prices, the chips are crunchy and full of favours (paprika, chicken salt) you can see. The fried chicken options are pretty good as well. They tend to get pretty busy sometimes but the line moves fairly quick. Friendly customer service. Overall, great experience.

Chips are freshly fried and "generously" seasoned with a combination of chicken salt and paprika.
They also serve up some awesome chicken chippies, which is becoming more and more of a rarity in Sydney nowadays.

Red Lea Chicken shop is an instiution of cabramatta it been here for more than 3 decades, even though the owners have changed. The service is still the same and the food is still great. They survived and best KFC when it was around in the early 90s.

It brings out the nostalgia for many of the locals especially children of the 90s, besides selling fried chicken and other hot foods, they also sell frozen hot food items and fresh chicken.

You cant miss it as it is in the central area of Cabramatta opposite across the road from all the major banks like commonwealth bank.

The owners speak all the local asian languages so it makes it easy for elders and recent migrants.

In contex red lea chicken may not exist but it nice that they still have the rights to the old name. You cant miss the store as it is instantly recognisable by the blue, yellow and white colours of Red Lea.

They are also covid safe and compliant so remember to check in and stay 1.5 meters apart to protect yourself and the community.

The main hot foods they sell are fried chicken, rissoles, chippees, chips, sausages, chicken rolls and cold drinks.

They also sell fresh whole chickens, chicken pieces, eggs and other chicken products.

They also offer catering services for party as well.

Remember if you buy your lunch get a combo to save money.

If i remember correctly the place is cash only and no Eftpos but all the major banks are across the road CBA, ANZ, WESTPAC, NAB and ST GEORGE bank.

Grew up in this area and Red Lea is an iconic mainly for their hot chips seasoned with chicken salt and paprika. Sadly I’ve moved to the city but I always made sure to purchase chicken and chips whenever I’m visiting.

I’ve read some of the negative reviews and the owner’s responses were professional, reasonable, and logical. If your food isn’t up to your expectations, bring it back, and I’m sure they’re more than happy to help. I have purchased chips that I didn’t think were as ‘fresh’, went back and they immediately made a new batch for me.

Some consumers never give a chance for business owners to rectify the issues, and that seems consistent with the negative reviews here.

Just an idea for crowd management is to have some bollards with ropes in place, so guests can snake around rather than having a long line cutting off foot traffic

Best chips in Sydney!! Best and affordable price as well, generously seasoned with seasoning and always served fresh! Definitely a must to stop by when wanting a snack!

I think they have the best chips ever. Not sure if its the paprika, salt or fried in chicken fat or a combo of all 3!

Whenever there's a short line (rarely) I always make sure to grab a box of hot chips!

Best chicken chippies and chips! The queue always very long and guaranteed you will always get the chippies fresh from the fryers because of huge turnovers. Always got mine piping hot and delicious 😋 😍 oh, and can always ask for extra red salt with the helpful staff!

Best hot chips in Sydney, due to their taste and seasoning (I always get it with the gravy). It was worth the wait. Will come again!

They refill any trays of food cause they know that it'll be bought out quickly unlike other Red Leas where if they run out of anything (besides chips) then better come back next day.

This place has really good fries I used to get them everyday then I started getting a little fat so I get them every 2 to 3 weeks now:D

The chips are ABSOLUTELY GODLY, with the red salt, so crunchy and fresh
but so soft. Also the spicy chicken chips are just TOO GOOD.

The chips are one of a kind here. I always top it up with extra paprika seasoning for the extra kick! Perfect every time!
