Dolphin Retreat Bunbury YHA

Lovely hostel with good people and friendly staff.

Firstly you should ignore the bad reviews. Someone complained about the free breakfast! It was great with more than enough to go around! The hostel is very well run and incredibly friendly. The rooms are spacious, plenty of common areas and a good sized kitchen. Top location just minutes from city and beach. Hostel was clean and had a good mix of people.

Location is good, near the Bunbury center and beach.
Clean, every few hours staffs clean it.
Reception was a super friendly and nice lady, let us felt very welcomed.
Served breads whole day which is a good thing.
Provided tableware set, convenient for people who stays here.
Quiet, which is great!
WiFi is good for Netflix.
Room was good, but the room we stayed had really heavy food smell when people cooking.

Pros: cheap $78 a night for private room friendly informative staff parking included free breakfast and clean got upgraded from twin room to triple room as was booked out which was nice.

Cons very squeaky loud door in number 1 needs a good spray of wd-40.

Would stay again

The service from the person over the phone was so good to deal with, concerning I was travelling from Busselton and accommodating my needs, I was allocated a quite room which considering it’s a long weekend didn’t make much difference as all the house guests are great anyway. When I get back to my home state, I’ll be pass on my recommendation to my good friend who owns and runs the Bridport Backpackers as a place of reference.

Excellent best aircon and ppl i cant believe its in my own back yard a private room with breakfast and amenities, excellent cleanliness and staff will be staying again for sure

Super customer service. Cheap price. Neat and tidy. Stayed with my wife and 3 kids. Shopping, beach and city centre 3 minutes away.

Its a pretty small and cheap place, no 5 star luxury resort but its nice. Especially because of the people you meet there.
