Crown Hotel Lilydale

We called in while on a short break just to have a glass of wine and play the pokies. Really nice venue, great local wine.

We haven’t been here for over a year since a family member was diagnosed with coeliac disease and knowing that Coeliac’s are tricky to cater for when eating out. We haven’t really been out to eat due to this but a birthday dinner was the reason.
But……the supervisor in the bistro was amazing and went beyond for us with the chef to cater for the coeliac family member. She feasted on a delicious plate of garlic prawns, confidently knowing the chef and the supervisor were all over it and were cautious. Even letting the girl know, who took our order to put coeliac next to the coeliac order and then double confirming with the chef that it was all good.
The rest of us enjoyed Parma and Thai beef salad.
I feel so confident in returning to the bistro with my coeliac family member and being able to enjoy a meal without fear.

Awesome place to eat and see live music on Sundays. New chef is amazing and food has returned to the 5 star standard it used to be.

Came for dinner on Sunday and the meals were great and came out quickly. The garlic bread was nice and schnitzel was huge. Spoke to a waitress and told me there was a new head chef. The place seems to have improved quite a bit since I last visited.

Large dining areas, looks clean and new. Great spot for team lunches or dinner and drinks after.
The barramundi I had was delicious. The salt and pepper squid looked good too, the serving size was generous!

Great service in the bistro, good variety of finger food. Worth the visit with parking out back

Beautiful venue. Sweeping staircase down to gaming room, outdoor area has screens with live sport.

Took my father his sister and sister in-law back to the Crown Hotel where his parents ran the pub for 12 years in the 70’s. It was an absolute credit to the current owner for the fantastic refurbishment and condition the Hotel was in, the meals and staff were excellent. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience which bought back many memories.

Got there just before the kitchen closed.
Staff were awesome.
The chef was very considerate and plated my meal on 2 plates, as he saw I was with someone.
The Veal Parma was great.
Will be back soon for another meal.

I was at the Crown Hotel for a friend's 80th Birthday Party. We had lunch and I had the Seafood Basket & Salad, it was really delicious food. I would recommend it to everyone if they're looking for a fair priced meal. They also have a Senior Menu. There is a carpark at the rear of the hotel, so you don't need to park on the main road (Maroondah Highway) and it was a lovely day.

Porterhouse steak was dry,mushroom gravy tasted like something I've never tasted before. Salad was as dry as a chip.

Excellent friendly service , the food was delicious. When the food was brought to us the staff was really friendly and most welcoming. Would highly recommend eating here .

A lovely pub and the staff are amazing. Even went out if their way to get the beer I like from the pokies bar and turned a seniors meal into an adult serving.
