Pizza Loca Cantina

Sam is absolutely the best host <3 great food good atmosphere. A true piece of heaven to enjoy with friends or the family. I personally like the empanadas or the tacos. This local business is worth supporting 👏

Went for dinner and it was great! We turned up a bit late but they accommodated us.. staff were super friendly, We had the Nachos, a Chimmi chunga, Jalapeno poppers, fish tacos and Cauliflower pops - all were amazing! We definitely recommend 👌

The best wood-fired pizza in Cairns. Casual dining, cold beers and Sam and staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating.

Great pizza, nice fluffy doe and customised the way I wanted it. Fresh ingredients. Really fast service. Jalapenos poppers were yummy also. Staff were very friendly!

Really casual atmosphere… Lots of space for the kids and the dogs to run around… Under cover seating and outside seating… Good food, good weekly specials, overall a great casual dining experience

Best pizza in Cairns, not even joking!! I had the Crudo Loco pizza, bf had the El Diablo which is great for those that like it spicy. Pizzas were a good size, beautifully cooked in a wood oven, puffy crunchy crust! I could taste every single fresh ingredient on my pizza. Beers were a good price, house wine was better than most. Nutella piadina dessert was a nice way to finish the meal, plenty big enough for two.

Travelled all around qld and they have the best spicy margaritas I have ever had. Street corn and tacos are incredible

Absolutely excellent. Friendly staff, food is is excellent (try the adobo flavored pizza) and fast even when busy. Atmosphere is great. Big grass area for bowls that kids can run around and play. Live music on Saturday night was excellent too and not overpoweringly loud.

If I could give Sam (chef) and the team more than 5 stars then I would give 10/10! I moved up to Cairns in January 2022 and ever since I have found it almost impossible to get a good feed of any cuisine around town. Let me tell you this....Pizza loco cantinas pizza base, sauce and topping could not be faulted. Delicious. The Mexican parmigianas chicken, sauce, toppings, chips and slaw was absolutely banger! We got there at 530 on a Saturday night, ordered and food was out within 20 minutes. Perfect. We are coming back for sure! Hit this place up if you looking for good quality clean and tasty food!

We visited this beautiful and quirky restaurant for the first time and had a cute welcome note on our reserved table. The staff was very welcoming and friendly in comparison to the mature lady behind the counter (just guessing it was the owner or manager?) who was typing on her phone sideways, totally ignoring us (not even a nod or making eye contact) as we were waiting for the wonderful employee who then took our order as soon as she came back from the table service 😃
We ordered the cauliflower pops and jalapeño pops as an entree to share….both fantastic entrees and if you like spicy, the jalapeño pos are perfect! Mum even got the hiccups 😂 the cauliflower pops were a MOUNTAIN of food and of fantastic value!! The 2 entrees alone were actually enough food between us 3 already 😄
As mains we ordered Chimichanga and Enchiladas which were unfortunately VERY bland (we don’t like salt but it was definitely missing !)
It was just a mash (kind of baby food) without any kind of texture or ‚special‘ taste…we couldn’t even taste the cheese, the chicken was very dry (even within all that mash and guessing it had been pre cooked and reheated) and had only a tiny drizzle of sour cream on top (would have been better on the side) but not to waste them we got a take away container and took them home.
The next day we put some seasoning on everything….pepper and a tiny bit of salt, tomato salsa, tasty cheese and sour cream on the side and totally enjoyed our leftover meals together which was plenty!! 🤩
We won’t order these again but will be definitely be back for the pizzas as they looked SUPER crunchy and delicious!!!🤤😋

We had booked a function here. Unfortunately we got the time wrong, thought we booked at 12pm (when they weren't actually open). Pizza Loca Cantina were very hospitable. Served us drinks and after a short while we were able to order food, which was delicious! Some of us ordered more to take home for dinner. Great place! Will be back!

Little gem this place. Always busy which speaks for itself. Great selection of pizzas, parmis and Mexican. Good value. Pizzas are the real deal, best I've had in Cairns

Delicious food and great service! We were served by a bald lady who was incredibly kind and loved to chat, which made our experience that much better.

The nachos and chicken parmigiana were amazing and we can’t wait to come back to try more food

First visit here and loved it. The pizzas here are great, excellent woodfired base which was perfect. Great range of quality toppings and the ratio is ideal. Nice range of other Mexican inspired dishes if you don't feel like pizza. Look forward to returning. Definitely worth a visit if you haven't been.
