Trial Bay Boat Ramp

Fantastic ambience, chill with a hip and laid-back vibe, great value for money. Surely one of the best boat ramps in the southern hemisphere . Superb child minding facilities.

Kettering point walk is located here too. Beautiful walk great place to let your mind free.

Shallow water, no obvious hazards, good for launching kayaks and smaller boats.

Beautiful location. Plenty of parking for trailers. Only single car ramp. Need to turn as you back down to ramp. Pontoon is great and rises with tides making boat access easier. Bay is well sheltered for all winds other than Easterly.
Main issue is that Trial Bay is quite shallow and water goes out a long way at low tide. It isn’t usable at a really low tide so keep an eye on tide times for both departure and return.

Good Boat launching, althought it can be very shallow at Low Tide.

Water was nice on a hot day, water level went to my knees, which was perfect for me not wanting to swim, just cool off. Watch out for oyster shell, twice I've cut my foot there.
