What a great spot. We were in a family glamping tent. Lots of room. Ernie the camp director was amazing. Made us feel welcome and made sure we had everything we needed.

Absolutely loved this stay! Been one of my favourites along my road trip up north. Lots of amenities, nice quiet campgrounds and the staff are just amazing. They went above and beyond the make me feel welcome and comfortable, they were definitely the cherry on top of a great camp stay. Will 100% be the only campsite I visit again when I’m in the area!

After arriving in 1770 for our holiday we found out the accommodation we had booked was nothing like we had expected. We had driven 7 hours from Brisbane were tired and upon seeing our below average campsite we were also very angry.

However 1770 eco camp came to the rescue. Kara was amazing and after we explained the situation we were in, she assured us we would have an amazing camping experience at 1770 eco camp. And we most certainly did!

Our camp site was right at the back so we felt one with nature and had the most amazing experience. The camp ground were beautiful the facility’s were amazing and only a short walk from our campsite. We unfortunately had to leave a day early but we still had the most amazing time during our stay. If you’re passing through Agnes waters on your roadtrip or you staying here for a long weekend. I highly recommend you stay at 1770 eco camp. You truly made our special occasion even more special and saved our holiday

This is our second time staying at Eco Camp, we love the bush setting surrounded by all the trees and wildlife. We checked ourselves in after reading the site noticeboard which detailed all relevant information regarding campers wellbeing and etiquette. There is a campfire most nights and camp kitchen with pool table and table tennis to keep everyone occupied, pizza oven and barbecues provided. Amenities block with showers and flushing toilets and there is filtered water in the camp kitchen for drinking. Proper bush camping with the conveniences we like at an amazing price. Staff are all friendly and make you feel welcome. We will definitely be back.

This was a great find. 1770 and agnus are both great little towns but it was hard to find a good camping spot at a reasonable price that afforded some space away from others. My partner and I much prefer this type of camping as opposed to big 4 type sites. Great atmosphere, clean facilities, nice hot shower, no fuss check-in. For those camping with kids they had a cute little kids area and also a big undercover area with comfy lounges and a tv. Wifi was available up at this area but none down where we camped in our RV, 14 C.

What a lovely week long getaway we had at the 1770 Eco Camp. Super friendly staff who are more then happy to have a chat or help out if needed. The higher sites don’t have good Telstra coverage which wasn’t a big deal for us as the camp kitchen has free wifi and good reception. It was dusty the first day as they needed some good rain. Plenty of bigger sites for people who need some extra space and amazing value for powered sites.

Would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in the area.

Amazing experience, great communication with the owner. Camp ground well kept and facilities perfection. Close to the beaches and town but far enough from the busy. My kids enjoyed the kids area and common area. They made new friends. This 3 night experience was amazing for the end of our holiday. Highly recommend xx

"There are no loud parties here. That's not what we're about. I ask that you respect other guests and the land here. Otherwise have a great stay." Ernie made sure that was clear as he helped us get settled into our spot, which was spacious enough.

He was right. The place was frequented by respectful families, travellers and young couples. It had a chilled vibe with just the right amount of happenings to keep things interesting. The sound we heard leaned more towards joy and laughter than rambunctious revelry.

It was also technically a bush camp but with facilities to make it an upgraded experience. An important point because you don't want to be the person complaining about the sushi at a curry shop.

The big camp kitchen, which reminded me a bit of Thailand, was tidy and well equipped. There was free wifi and even a
freeuse pool and table tennis setup.

And then there's the communal firepit. THE firepit. Now you can always light your own fire at your campsite. But I would suggest at least once sit around the soul of this ecocamp.

Kids bonded over figuring out how to not burn the marshmallows (or their hands). Adults shared laughs and stories of travels over a beer and a few strums of the guitar.

And as the nights slowed down, relaxed talk about life and hopes and dreams and regrets turned strangers into lifelong friends.

You wouldn't know if someone is on staff if it isn't for the uniform they were wearing. I gathered that they were (are) themselves travellers by their attentive and sometimes sixth sense like care.

You could tell that they had given thoughts to you.

This review was mostly a love letter to them.

I will end this by throwing out a list of what other things that made our stay here so good.

Owls, goannas, bananas, pond, woodfire oven, walks up the hill for sunsets, possums, yoga classes and a pair of white ducks that really should start having a family.

We stayed as part of a large group in February. Ernie was so lovely and personally came around and explained the ground rules about noise of an evening and respect for the area and other people. We loved this and really appreciated being able to camp in grounds that respected others right to an enjoyable stay. Showers were beautiful and hot, facilities were clean and in good order. Such a great campsite and really great rates. All staff we had dealings with were really lovely and helpful. We are already planning our next trip and we will be definitely staying here again!
