Captain Cook Fish & Chips

The staff here are friendly, food was great. I had an odd request for my dog and they accommodated perfectly.

Portions were good sizes and tasty.

Nice little fish and chip shop in front of the Captain Cook Holiday Village. The fish (we tried Hoki and Red Emperor) was tasty and juicy. The chips were good, well covered with chicken salt. The pineapple fritter with sugar and cinnamon was amazing, we actually grabbed another one for the road on the way out.

Delicious supper, i also had the seafood basket & upgraded to Red Emperor & ditched the fizzy drink for extra chips, fish was superb (not overly battered) the calamari was tender (not rubbery) couple of prawns & single scolly (would have liked a couple) and a fishstick i think? could have fed a couple of people, friendly owner (Karen) well worth trying.

I can not fault the fish and chips I had , lovely lady and well priced.thumbs up from me.

Sensational fish and chips - some of the best I've ever had, and I consider myself a fish and chip connoisseur. We got the battered sweet lip and red emporer, which were delicious. The chips, potato scallops and calamari were also very very tasty. Huge servings, great price, friendly service. Best feed in 1770!!

Perfectly cooked juicy fish. The fish was so fresh and battered perfectly! We had the red emperor. One of the best fish and chips we’ve had in Queensland. Friendly service and pet friendly too. Will come back again!

YUM! My partner and I both had sweet lip and chips. Mine was battered, his was crumbed. It was excellent. Staff were friendly and it didn't take long to cook. The only downside to this is while we were waiting outside for our food the mosquitos also had a great meal!

11 Aug 2021. We went twice to this Fantastic fish & chips shop offering a good range of other goodies only surpassed by the great service. This little shop adjacent to the Captain Cook Tourist Park (caravan park) is the place to go for a delicious take away dinner or meal. The owner and her staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is a problem. They clearly take enormous pride in their business (and hard to believe, ) but make each customer feel special! This little fish & chip shop is something special with the best quality food at very affordable prices!!

Fantastic service. Short wait!! And it’s Good Friday!! Hubby absolutely loved the lollipops (whiting) and the burgers were delicious. Will definitely make the trip down from rocky again for a feed.

Friendly service and fantastic quality food. The chips were up there with the best I've had. Portions were generous and prices great. Highly recommend. We will sneak another visit before we head home!

We ordered a large chips, the whiting, scallops and calamari. Eyes too big for our stomach! Tastes beautiful, a shame we couldn't finish it though.

As I'm gluten free it's difficult to buy takeaway and taste good. Thank you so much for the perfectly grilled fish and amazing gf chips😃 we'll be back.

Fantastic fish and chip shop way cheaper than in Agnes Waters wonderful friendly staff, quality fish, chips and scallops. A real little gem a must try.

Simply just great fish and chips. Had grilled red emperor and chips - everyone loved it and not everyone in our family are seafood eaters.

Nice and accomadating service, even sold me some steak for my dog.
That's the nice touches you get from an owner operator and if the lady was not the owner she deserves a raise.

Bizarrely this is one place that deserves the perfect 5 score it has. Fish was awesome, calamari too. Chips with a bit of chicken salt were magic.

Perfectly cooked, fresh and tasty! Probably the best Fish&chips in Queensland.

Went here while on holidays and conveniently staying in the park. Best fish and chips I've had in ages!
