I was dying to have Ethiopian someday after coming to Sydney as the last time I tasted Ethiopian cuisine was way back in 2012 when I was in the United States. I finally had the chance when I went to Gursha Ethiopian. We ordered the meat and veg combo with injera bread along with a beef side dish. My taste buds were dancing with joy for tasting such wonderful preparations. Even the place was tidy and not too crowded or loud. The combo was supposed to be for two people and hence we were suggested a side dish as we were three but to be honest I'll say the combo was enough for three especially as the third member was my kiddo. We were literally stuffed up to the neck. I definitely look forward to visiting this place again in the future !!

Tried Ethiopian cuisine for the first time on Christmas Eve, and it was a lovely experience. The restaurant is tucked in a little corner space on Main Street. The owner was very helpful in suggesting dishes for us to try, also letting us know when we ordered too much! We loved the sharing plate, with great choices of the gravy and stews that went well with the injera bread. My personal favourite was the kitfo, which I feel is a must-try.

I have already recommended Gursha to friends, and we would be happy to dine here again.

We live locally and we just had to come and try the number one restaurant in Blacktown. What a find! We had a delicious 2 course meal and we are more then satisfied. Serving sizes were large, prices are perfect and with free corkage to enjoy our bottle of wine together. The service was wonderful and they answered all my questions about the meals and how they are prepared. Gursha’s is a must!

We ordered the meat combination plate for two which was a great way to sample a bit of everything. All the different dishes served were delicious and flavoursome, the injera at the end soaked up all the sauces and was so good to finish off. We would definitely be back.

One doesn't come here for the fancy decor or service. One comes for the amazing food.

Mixed meat and mixed vegetable dish for 2 for $50.

I personally wouldn't get the falafel entre` again though.. it had the texture of being reheated in a microwave.

However the mains were amazing and full of flavour, every dish was unique delicious. Can't wait to try it again!

Absolutely loved it!!

We previously dined at another Ethiopian place in Sydney that was highly rated and it was so average and borderline bad that I was scared to try Gursha. I was recommended by multiple people to give Gursha a go.

Getting to the front we had no high expectations but after the first bite, we knew that we were in for a treat.

All the curries were fantastic and the injira was delicious. Not too sour - not too thick but thick enough to hold all the curries.

I would highly recommend it!

Will definitely come back!

Went there the first time with work colleagues after reading lots of positive reviews. The place came through with our expectations.

Every single item on the plate had distinct taste, color and texture. It felt fresh and unique in flavour. The bread was just too good. Welcoming and very accommodating owner. Overall great experience.

Returned here after having lunch at the start of 2020 (I don't make it to Sydney often), and it was just as good as I remembered. Had the vegetarian and meat combination meal, with three meat dishes and five vegan dishes shared between two people. Very reasonably priced for some very yummy food, so I'll make sure I'm back when I'm in Blacktown again. I don't know if they have toilets, but there is a sink to wash your hands before and after eating.

I can’t say if it’s authentic Ethiopian food, but I can say I enjoyed it! The proteins were beautifully spiced and done, I enjoyed every sample of it. I thought the portion for the signature platter was more meant for 3 if you have a smaller appetite.

I loved the authenticity and atmosphere, and I left feeling full.

Amazing food and service! I had a perfect dinner experience here tonight for my birthday. We had the steak tartare/kitfo special and veggie combination and finished off with the Ethiopian coffee ceremony. Loved every minute and the coffee’s on another level. Thank you to the 3 chefs who made this meal especially for me.

Real soul food. Also recommend trying coffee the traditional Ethiopian way - for Ethiopia is the origin of coffee.

The aunty and daughter team are amazing. Went with my 2 mates here to try a new cuisine. The staff were absolutely amazing. Very homely place with wonderful vibes. The food was colorful, fresh and delicious. A must try is the coffee ceremony which is an Ethiopian tradition and is a very nice sensory experience.

Such a cute and cozy lil place! The vibe, ambience, music is bang on.

I have had Ethiopian home made food earlier so I can say that Gursha serves authentic taste. The roti- injera was just perfect and so were the accompanying dishes.

We ordered the Meat and Veggies combo for 2 which was perfect in terms of portion and variety. We also tried the traditional coffee.. so satisfying if you are a black coffee enthusiast.

Our host was warm, friendly and explained the dishes to us - very sweet of him.

We will back soon..🙂
