I’ve only been here two times, with the first time I got takeaway. The owners are the absolute sweetest and we’re so quick to bring the food out. The serving sizes were bigger than I expected and I was very happy about it. The owner explained that the sauce for the spicy 떡볶이 was homemade and it was delicious and the perfect amount of spice. I felt so bad for not finishing it, but I can’t wait to go back again.

This is without hesitation in the top 3 best Korean restaurants I have tried (And I’ve lived in culinary cities like Paris, New York and Melbourne.)
Everything is homemade by the chef, I took a Tofu BiBimBap and Honey fried chicken. Wow! Amazing!
• The fried chicken is of the highest quality and you can taste they don’t use bad oils or chemicals to fry the meat.
• The tofu is perfectly cooked.
• Everything tastes fresh with great quality ingredients.
The chef is so kind, passionate and will have a little chat with you and answer all your questions.
You can sit in a wide and fresh room inside or enjoy the terrace.
Don’t hesitate and pick this restaurant for your next dinner! We will come back for sure.

This food, you can tell they put love into what they do. We got a free show from the Egyptian restaurant next door, outdoor seating without a booking and the Korean BBQ was one of the best I've ever had. Service is 100%, explaining how to do things and different flavour options and even with new staff they're operating to a point you would not notice unless you are committed to being an unhappy customer! Thank you so so much, we will be back for more soju x!!!!

Flavourful Korean food served by people passionate about their cuisine and their customer experience. We loved the Korean seafood pancake and the spicy bulgogi. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu and see the wonderful staff again.

This was our first time visiting for dinner, and oh my gosh everything was amazing! The owners are the most beautiful people the husband and wife team make everything themselves from scratch and the owner come over and explained everything and all the different ways of mixing the flavours together ect, the food was next level delicious the flavours were just so good on everything we tried! I tried the famous chum churum korean drinks and they were also delicious and a huge variety of flavours to choose from, We 100% will be back and will be telling everyone to come and try this hidden gem! Thank you for your outstanding service. 10/10

Went here and had the korean army stew. It was absolutely amazing, and the cost was very reasonable for the amount and quality of food. The owners were incredibly welcoming and warm. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed, we really enjoyed coming here and look forward to returning.

Came here for a quick lunch during a trip to Newcastle last weekend. The eel and bulgogi were delicious! One of my friends ordered wine and said it was good too.

Such great, authentic food and amazing service. The owner was so friendly and courteous. Such a hard working family owned business.

Definitely some of the best Korean food we’ve had. Everything was delicious, but you must try the boneless honey soy and garlic fried chicken!

Out of all of the endless restaurants on Beaumont Street, our hungry eyes were set on Kimchi House of Korea looking out on the convivial pedestrians below. The festivities were no less in the restaurant, we came on a Saturday night only to find out the place was booked out. Despite our lack of forethought to make a booking, the compassionate and welcoming owner still managed to get us a table. It was absolutely busy yet the service was prompt, accommodating and impartial all the way through. The seafood and scallion pancake arrived first with a huge emphasis on the 'scallion'. Not one bite was missing the crunchy strips and the unmistakable, sweet scent. The fishiness of the mussels and prawns helped with balancing the potency of the scallions. What harmoniously binded it together was the batter, a light and fluffy vessel for intense flavours. Following on, the beef bulgogi and BBQ chicken was served sizzling hot alongside rice and banchan. The BBQ chicken was cooked tender in a luscious sweet soy glaze similar to teriyaki, its aromatic charm evident in the accompanying medley of onions, cabbage and carrots. But more tantalising was the bulgogi, the sugary sauce hand intermingled with the meaty juices of the beef to form peak deliciousness. In between these indulgent bites, the sour and spicy kimchi was great to reset the taste buds. The delicate sides of pickled bean sprouts and braised potato were very nice too, especially the pickled yellow radish with its refreshing tartness. The rice was boiled exceptionally well in retaining its chewy texture and sopping up the delectable sauces of the meats. For my first time eating at a Korean restaurant, I was introduced to the valuable, open-arms hospitality and vibrancy of the culture. The owner was even apologetic that our group had to eat at a small table but we were plenty full with a tasty, delightful dining experience. If anything, I would apologise for not knowing earlier about Korean cuisine and immediately booking the restaurant!

We chose this place since it already a 5-starts review, and it turn out a decent place to eat while we were in Newcastle. It's a family managed place, we could see the owner really tried their best to serve. We ordered some traditional Korean food, most of them are very decent and delicious. Highly recommend the hot stone rice with beef or chicken, and potato pancake. Highly recommended for quick dinner or friends gathering since they also serve wine and beer.

Dined there with a friend tonight - don't forget to look for the small sign directing you upstairs, on the wall outside Cold Rock Ice Cream. Really worth the visit, we shared beef bulgogi and a seafood kimchi pancake... they came with complimentary banchan (sides) with very refreshing texture and taste. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, its family run and has been there for 13 years, serving as traditional food as they can. The staff are absolutely lovely and the owner and his wife take great pride in preparing delicious food for affordable prices. Left feeling full and delighted by the flavours. Super recommend the beef bulgogi! It takes a whole day for them to prepare!

Highly recommend!! The owner of the restaurant is a lovely couple, you can tell they really value the customer’s feedback. Beautiful restaurant and tasty food! The owner told me they spent two days to cook the chicken I ordered, it’s not just some dish straight from the factory. Enjoyed the food and atmosphere, will be back again!
