Malray Mechanical, Brake and Clutch

Mark of Malary Brake and Clutch has looked after my cars for around 12 years. He is honest, good communication skills, the work is excellent and he seeks permission to do things where needed. His quoted price is always accurate and when I've got alternative prices, he's always the lowest. Very highly recommended.

I took my car to Malray brake and clutch services with the problem my car have experience of loss of all brakes without warning. He told me he’d checked the master cylinder, removed it from the fire wall where a leak would appear according to him. He didn’t find any leaks, told me he adjusted the rear brakes and could not find any problems beside a little air in the lines. My brakes failed again a week later. I took my car to another place where he said he visually saw the leak before removing anything, they replaced the defective master cylinder, replace the front disk pads and clean and adjusted the rear brakes that hadn’t been looked at for a long time, according to the new repairer. I am surprised Malray let me take the car home the first time in its state of not know knowing what was wrong with the brakes and suspect he didn’t even check and adjust the rear brakes. A waste of my time and $99

I originally thought my clutch was gone and upon calling 4 mechanics to get qoutes they came in at $1000 which was $100 more expensive than the others but they were just down the road so I thought it's better than running around. Turns out it wasn't the clutch but was the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. Went and picked my car up and was charged $550. After calling 4 mechanics to get a price on that they all came in at $250 with 1 charging $300. I called them back and asked why I had been charged $300 more than any other place? He replied that it was for diagnosis. Then said he was looking over the car for an hour. Very expensive hour indeed
