Rustica Newcastle Beach

Went there for an anniversary. The staff were lovely. The cocktail I had was divine it was called a sinking ship, I highly recommend. The food was delightful. Would definitely go again. I strongly advise that you book in advance. Can full quick.

Passed by on the way to Brisbane, dropped in for a lunch, forgot to get their name but the guy and the lady who served us was lovely and friendly. Food was cooked perfectly and well priced. The Cocktail that was recommended by the bartender, it was awesome. Absolutely loved it.

If you get a chance to visit Newcastle, I highly recommended you to visit them.

After having traveled to Newcastle/Hunter Region for my partners birthday, with Rustica as a recommendation from friends, we can happily say it’s worth the recommendations.
The service was great and the team all seemed happy, friendly and polite. Unfortunately I forgot to get the girls name who served us for most of the evening but she was very professional.
We had the four course banquet and it was excellent. I have a shellfish allergy but it was no hassle to have it swapped for another dish. All four courses were delicious and of a good size with the Lamb main and the Arancini Balls being of note.
Cocktails were presented well and tasted just as good, with the espresso martini being particularly good.
We were lucky enough to get a window seat and had a nice view overlooking Newcastle Beach, which definitely made the experience that much better.
If you’re in Newcastle looking for a good quality restaurant, Rustica is sure to tick the boxes.

We were lucky to book the 7:30pm slot on Tuesday night as I checked the time 2 days ago was not available. The restaurant was well decorated and we were out at a nice window seating with Seaview. I can see the restaurant is really full but the food services level wasn’t slow, i love the scollop and the mushroom gnocchi as they taste outstanding! The rest of the lamb and Zucchini flower were also nice. We recommend friends to come and try :)

We visited a few months ago, and absolutely loved the restaurant.
Not only were there MANY options for dairy free and gluten free, there may have been TOO MANY that I wanted to try. But seriously, each dish we had was perfect, the staff were attentive and friendly. Highly recommend for allergen conscious diners.

Stunning from outside to inside, from service to food. Thank the Rustica team for accommodating us even though we have no booking. The highlights were my pork belly, a great combination of ingredients and flavours. Also, my cocktail (Hello Sailors) was absolutely delicious. My wife's pasta was good too. She loved that. Definitely come back here for our next trips to Newcastle.

Celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at Rustica.
The food was amazing, the service exceptional and the prices were good.
The indoor environment is unique and beautiful and the view is stunning!
A place worth visiting for tasty Mediterranean cuisine.

We took family from out of town and had a 3 course meal and everything was amazing, they didn’t miss on any of the dishes.
Cocktails were also amazing and staff were so helpful and friendly and food came out quickly.
Will definitely be going back.

Dinner was perfect! The food is always delicious. This is our favourite restaurant in Newcastle and has been for years.

Have to give a big shout to the chefs at Rustica. Every dish was cooked and designed with really high quality. All the flavours were delicious. The gnocchi pasta…WOW… never had gnocchi literally melt like butter before, it was great. Highly recommend. The waiter's are very polite and professional which is welcomed!

Beautiful restaurant, Great food, awesome service staff. Loved the music. We will be back.

A wonderful meal! Good wholesome, delicious all round. We had the Lamb Shoulder and the Cauliflower and both were amazing!

Always a favourite option for any special occasion! Food is always delicious. Lovely views and interiors. The menu doesn’t seem to change though. The gnocchi was amazing!

Came here for our anniversary and Rustica did not disappoint. From the food to the amazing service and a great view,will definitely be back.

Went for Valentine's day for dinner, the food was amazing, the service was brilliant and to top it off we were given a table next to the window.

We had never been to Rustica before and we can’t wait to go back. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Newcastle or any Novacastrians.

My new favourite restaurant in Newcastle. Amazing food, very prompt service, lovely wine, great atmosphere. I loved that we didn't find it too loud to engage in conversation even though the restaurant was pretty much full. I loved the interior design of the place, the quick and friendly service and the fresh, delicious food. Lovely outlook over Newcastle Beach as well. We will be back!

The food was delicious, and the service from Hamish was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. The manager went above and beyond to help me fix my broken shoe!

Second time at Rustica, following a lovely time with family in February. This time my husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. A beautiful restaurant in a gorgeous spot. Staff are welcoming and know the menu and wine list. The food was as gorgeous as least time. It’s an hour drive from home for us, but well worth it for the special occasion. Highly recommend the arancini and the gnocchi.
A walk on the beach first, or after with photos, always tops the trip off.
