Goolwa Motor Museum

Really underrated nothing to look at from the outside. Fantastic display and history. The owner is a walking historian, he was a race driver, and the people he knew and raced with is amazing. If you have only a slight interest go and see for yourself how fantastic this place is.

The owner is passionate about his wonderful cars. Not very big but well worth the cost if you like cars. The shed is a bit run down but it was never meant to be a museum

Unique collection of old cars, if you like cars don’t skip this place. Legend Johanthon Finnis has much love with his collection and care like kids.

Michael is so welcoming and an absolute wealth of knowledge! He ensured our 2 y/o son who is car obsessed had the absolute best time. An unassuming shed in the industrial sector of Goolwa, but it absolutely holds one of the best local attractions! It's just a man who passionately loves cars sharing his love with the world, and it's absolutely beautiful. Well worth the visit! Note - cash only for admission!

Superb place. Some unusual cars displayed in a large well lit space. Also loads of other car related memorabilia. It's not designed for young children though - there's no barriers to prevent them from touching the cars and it would be a shame for the cars (or the children for that matter) to be damaged. It wasn't busy the day we visited so the owner was able to show us the highlights but then left us alone to enjoy the cars. The guard dog in reception is lovely too - she's a real sweetie. An amazing private collection run by the owner. So much history and such a passionate owner who’s managed to make a life out of doing what he loved and wants to share his passion.
Lots to see, but the real gem is the owner Michael and some of his stories around the significance of so many pieces in the museum.

What a blast! Some beautiful rare vehicles, one that basically was the forerunner of the great Holden Ute! Owner is a legend in SA motoring history and is full of great stories. Highly recommended!

Tucked away in the industrial zone at the back of town with entry via the friendly owner's TV room, this is a little gem.

If you like classic cars this is quite an awesome collection of well maintained beautiful machines. Fully recommended.

Loved it. The owner is a great guy with some great stories to tell about his motoring exploits. Good mix of cars. The DeSoto was my favourite. Highly recommended

The owner is a great bloke, he raced cars back in the 1960s. There is a small collection of cars (45 - 50), however, some fantastic and rare cars are on display, well worth a visit.

Fantastic, also met the owner Michael Finnis and chatted for a while, nice old boy, great collection of fine automobiles,highly recommend.
