The Last Hoot - Cafe, Bar & Pizzeria

Fabulous pizza and warm hospitality..We spent a few nights at Falls Creek and the Hoot was our joint for dinner for the entire stay! The pizza had a lovely thin base and the size and toppings were super generous..Will come again

This place is excellent for food. Top quality pizzas and burgers that are reasonably priced and delicious 😋. The service is great, and speed of food preparation is quick. Either eat in or take away. Fully licensed restaurant with range of alcoholic beverages too. Located directly next to Haileys comet ski lift.

Made a reservation for a Friday night. The staff were kind enough to call us before we came in and let us know that their pizza oven was broken. I don't think many places would do that, so big thank you to them for thinking ahead.
Although the pizzas were recommdend to us and we were looking forward to them, we really enjoyed the alternative burgers. We had the American cheeseburger and chicken burger. Both were delicious on brioche buns and the chips 🍟 were great too.
My only feedback would be the dining area is very dark and could use a touch more lighting.
The prices are extremely reasonable and are a huge draw card to visit again and again (which we did the next day).

Dropped in for a burger on the first night of a two night stay at Falls. The burger was that good I ditched plans to try another place and went back again the next night. Fantastic food, great atmosphere and staff that treat you like a long lost friend. It's a long trek from Tassie but I will be back for sure.

Too crowded on cloud 9. So decided to try this one. Pizza was great and we even had a gluten free one. Just quick lunch so pizza and hot chips. Place is great too. Would try dinner one time then.

A trip to Falls Creek isn’t complete without at least one meal at The Last Hoot. I’ve been tempted by the burgers… but just can’t go past the pizza selection. Reliable in their meals, hours, friendly service, and great taste in music.

We ended up here after a beautiful afternoon on the mountain. The kitchen had shut but they offered to make us a pizza anyway. Fantastic, friendly service, and delicious pizza!

We visited Falls Creek in the third week of October, when there were very few places to eat open. The Last Hoot was open from 4-8pm daily and served primarily pizza and burgers - my 'Buffalo Bird's burger was good. The one staff member was a friendly character, and managed being cook, waiter and bar tender well. The music was a little loud for us and was turned down - my apologies to the other customers.

Ski into the hoot for a pizza and some longnecks after a long day. I’m often deceived by the longneck & large pizza deal though, don’t get it unless you want a large pizza and two stubbies. It is a good deal but I always get it then realise a small pizza and a beer would have been easier, and cheaper.

Excellent Burger and Pizza while watching the night skiing on wombats ramble (and all the stacks). Great value with non alcoholic beer options :)

We took our big family for one of the kid’s 6th birthday tonight and received the best service. Great relaxed family friendly atmosphere. Great menu, catering for every taste. Well priced and heard across the table a couple of times how good the pizza was and I agree.

Well made pizzas and decent portions. Amazing value $28 for a large pizza, which is easily enough for two people to share.

Wife and I came here threr times during our 4 day snow trip. No regrets.

Great pizzas and cheap drinks always service with a smile. Great views of the falls express chair lift and the bottom of wombats ramble. Highly recommended for your ski trips!!

Always friendly staff, quick service and tasty gluten free pizza. There is a bar to sit at while you wait for takeaway, and comfy couches

Had a mean feed, the back of house crew were absolute studs. Could definitely tell the food was made with love. Would recommend if ya looking for dinner with a view.

Without a doubt our favourite food place on the mountain. The surf and turf pizza is amazing, and the mulled wine is just yummy on a miserable day when the weather is bad... or really anytime!

Had lunch here on one of the busiest days and the service was excellent. Credit to the staff who were always friendly, polite and hospitable. The food was good and what I really loved was the food and bevs were competitively priced as opposed to some of the other places in falls that served rubbish but still cost a bomb.
We declared that this will always be our first go to place whenever we're in falls.
I hope management here at The Last Hoot keep up the good work but maintain the fair prices. Well done.

Best place for families to eat in Falls creek. Located near Halley’s Comet ski lift, the Last Hoot is central to everything. Great choices for kids, good beer and drinks and the burgers are amazing after a long day on the slopes. Prices were reasonable. The atmosphere was always good with helpful and friendly staff.

Many choices for vegetarian, I’m addicted to “the ramble” which is delicious, feel like I can have it everyday;)))
