I recently completed the 9 day PG2 course run by Jiri and Sylvie at WA Paragliding Academy.
If you're thinking of doing the course but not sure if you'll get your money's worth, don't think again. The course was absolutely amazing. It was very comprehensive, we flew whenever there was an opportunity to do so but also covered lots of very important theory. Jiri and Sylvie, despite being in the sport for well over 20 years, still have a lot of passion for the sport and therefore it shows by how they go far beyond students expectations. They are extremely thorough, diligent and most of all, very patient, friendly and easy to get along with. They'll make you feel right at home.

I've used Jiri five times now in the past few years for repairs and line replacements. Every time he has gone above and beyond in advice, quality of service, and speed. The customer service is exceptional.

I have used Jiri a few times now for paraglider repairs/checks etc, he is a real professional & a gentleman, a pleasure to deal with, very honest & prompt service, thanks Jiri!

West Australian Paragliding Academy offers very thorough training from an expert instructor who not only has amazing flight skills, but also a professional and easy-going teaching manner.

A group of us just recently completed training and found that we couldn't have received more comprehensive instruction. Even when travelling to and from the flight zone, we were constantly taught about flight skills, weather dynamics, gear selection and safety considerations.

We particularly loved the 'active' engagement we were in. Jiri would ask us questions like, "So what do you think about the conditions guys?" He would constantly get us to make our own decisions, reserving his in cases where we may have missed something.

All of us are still in contact with Jiri and no doubt will always consult with him in all things paragliding.

Thanks Jiri and Sylvie, you guys gave us wings!

After completing my training with Jiri in 1999 - I have spent my time with wild
abandon, Looking at the skies , goofing of at work, getting fired , Travelling the world flying competing and hahah !!! Just kidding - you saved me from being a boring F%$#ker - thanks mate !

I’m very disappointed with Jiri - the owner. I emailed from France to enquire about a gift voucher for a tandem paragliding flight for my daughters birthday. This was accommodated, I was told to phone the next day with credit card details. I did. I paid the $250 fee and sent contact details for my daughter who lives in Perth. At no time, over email or telephone was I instructed that the gift voucher was non refundable.

It turns out my daughter does not plan on using the gift voucher at all and asked me to get a refund. I emailed Jiri and to find out when I could phone to receive a refund on my c/c card. I was told they don’t refund gift vouchers. To which I responded that at no time was I given this information, not by phone or email. If I had known, I would have simply done a bank transfer to my daughters bank account and she could have decided whether to do this experience or not. Now I’m out of pocket, and my daughter has no gift. Very poor attitude. Seeing as I’m in France I’m certain he’s hopping I’ll leave things go due to the distance. I don’t normally resort to a googii ou e review, but I have tried 3-4 times to reach out in person by email, and no response, so have no choice.
