Favourite place to go for a lovely walk along the river. Also a great picnic and swimming spot in summer! My dog and I love it 🐶

Gem of a spot for a swim or to relax and read a book. Pretty secluded and quiet when we went.

Beautiful part of Eltham. The walk from Griffith Park to Sweeneys Flats is a gorgeous stretch of natural river land.

Lots of land to roam around. Can enter at Grffin Park and proceed onto Swansea Plain which will take you all the to Templstowe, well over a 10k walk. Not many people, a few dogs but mainly nobody around.
The walk through to Swansea Plains is a mixture of hills and then trails for Single file. A bit muddy in places but did encountered only marginally slippery slopes at times.

A beautiful walking track and a nice place to take the family and dogs. The walking track can get narrow so make sure you're wearing appropriate footwear. The track isn't suitable for disabled access but the general picnic area is suitable.

Great area to take your dog for a leisurely walk. Small paths so it feels more like an adventure through the bush, even thought it is basically in people's backyards. Paths can get a bit overgrown and change as trees fall down so paths are just walked around certain areas. It can be a bit slippery in wet weather.

Great swimming spot in summer. Nice area for bush walks.

Ultimate place for a quiet BBQ amongst the gumtrees. It's remarkable how remote you feel out there yet just a 2 minute drive and your back in suburbia... the river is a great spot to wet the line and try your luck at hooking up an elusive Murray Cod.
It has great parking facilities and is well maintained. No toilets however...
All in all, great spot for all ages. Highly recommended.

Such a beautiful and easily accesable river, no large rocks to stab you and the ground in the water is soft from mud. The rapids are lots of fun and only as dangerous as you want them to be, so very safe overall

A charming park to walk either with dogs or friends. Lovely to have the river on both sides. One of my favourite places.

Nice entry to the river track amidst the big old pines. Popular with dogs and their owners. Attempt with care after rain as the track can be rather slippery.

A great spot to walk with your dog. Beautiful scenery and walking tracks.

Great place for a photography session. Just be careful where you step with it being a dog "off leash" park.
