Hall's Funeral Services Diamond Creek

Our experience from start to end has been remarkable. Beau had gone the extra mile to resurrect a matter which is not even his responsibility. Extroadinary service during a very emotional time of loss. Thank you Beau & Alicia.

We had a very large funeral (~400 people) in our church in Greensborough for our mum Jenny. Beau and the team were incredible. They were patient and very understanding. The mass was live streamed to over 1000 people. The team who looked after the live stream were amazing using multiple cameras and capturing so many perspectives for the many who tuned in across the world. Halls were even able to accommodate all our last minute requests - having everything ready at short notice. They were able to organise the unique coffin my mum always wanted. So many other things which made the day a very special one which we will remember for the rest of our lives. Thank-you so much Beau and team. Very much appreciated from the Lobos

Our family used Hall’s Funeral Services for the second time. Michael and his family did an outstanding job. From the moment our loved one passed, they were responsive, respectful and caring. With a large number of attendees expected, we needed to use a venue not usually associated with funerals. Michael and Alicia went to the venue several times to ensure everything would be fine. When they experienced some challenges with the venue, they went above and beyond to fix everything while keeping us informed. The team at Hall’s Funeral Services made our week so much easier than we expected. Nothing was too much trouble. The funeral went off as planned and we will be forever grateful for the great job they did.

Having not heard of Halls before, I was nervous, but ultimately so happy we chose Beau and his team to help us say goodbye to dad. The follow up, attention to detail and delivery of our every wish was first class. The day went perfectly because Beau made sure of every detail. Could not recommend Halls more highly.

Our mum left us unexpectedly and we had no idea where to start. Thanks to Beau and Alicia for their guidance and support we said farewell in a beautiful way. Halls funerals worked really well with the church and parish. Thanks Beau and Alicia, appreciate all your efforts.

One of the best funeral service's I've been too, very personable and extremely empathetic and respectful to whom we were there to celebrate the life of.
Been to, too many funerals in my time and this by far was the best celebration and send off you could hope for when saying goodbye to a loved one. Beau and his team went above and beyond to make sure this was personable and a celebration of life.

Would recommend Halls at Diamond Creek without hesitation, Beau and Alicia where fantastic to deal with, while other companies could not meet with us for days, Halls where able to see us immediately. Very easy going, had some great suggestions and were flexible to listen to ours, the day was well organised with great communication throughput the whole process,

Beau and the team at Halls were fantastic, they gave my Nana the perfect funeral, everything she ever wanted and they were so supportive of my family and great to be around. Thank you for everything 🙂

Very caring service for a small gathering .

We were initally pleased to have been able to utilise the services of a smaller local business but unfortunately the service deminished once they had their sale.

I'll start with the positives:
- Their Whittlesea venue has a nice simple yet polished country appeal
- The options we were able to select from helped us pull together a service we think dad would have been pleased with.

The negatives:
- The celebrant they recommended, Scott, did not even manage to get the family name correct and did such a poor job of putting together the eulogy from the points we'd provided him, we had to rewrite the entire thing. We were still expected to pay for his services in full of course.
- No disabled toilet available which led to an embarrassing incident for one of our guests
- The invoice arrived with an additional charge if $400 if we were to pay after their 2 week deadline. This had never been discussed with us. Thankfully we were able to arrange payment promptly but I feel for those in different circumstances who may receive the not so pleasant surprise.
- They took 12 days from the cremation to apply for the death certificate, causing unnecessary delays and costing us financially. The really disappointing part here is they were dishonest when first asked about when they made the application and then simply stopped responding when asked if they intended to make any kind of reparations. There hasn't been so much as an apology.

Unfortunately, they're just salesmen and it's disappointing that this is the experience we've had during what is already a difficult time

Would not recommend Halls Funerals at Diamond Creek. The most unprofessional people I have come across. You only get one opportunity to say good bye to your loved one and we ended up changing Funeral Homes 3 days before my dads funeral. At time when you are most vulnerable you need professionals that take the pressure off and reassure you that everything will be okay. We should have known at the start. From picking up my dad at the nursing home when rolling him out to the the dirty funeral car they couldn't work out where is head was had to keep lifting the throw. Halls didnt have a nice cover had to get one from the from the family. From the first call. We arranged the death notice. To arriving at funeral home asking where the toilet was which was in their own house - the toilet seat was up and then had to walk around to find somewhere to wash my hands the only place was in there kitchen sink which was full of dirty dishes. Every time I rang to follow up on something she was always stressed and focussed on other funerals. Didn't go the extra mile we had to arrange transport we have someone but haven't used them in a while the lady said so another thing for the family to organise. We created the booklet. We had to find the music to play not the words but the actual music. Family Overseas tried to write a tribute but was charged $$. The final straw was when we asked for the live stream to be sent out as it was in covid times she said I am not sure how. It doesn't matter she said it will be posted after the funeral. Not good enough we have family in Perth, Canada and London that want to watch the live funeral. We organised the church and they doubled the price of the church. We lost the faith that Halls could deliver a good service. The service that my dad deserved our last good bye. We had also paid $2500 up front to ensure that we got the best from them. When we changed funeral Home can highly recommend Tobin Brothers in Doncaster by the way I said I will follow up after the funeral to get a refund of money. What happened next was so horrible they said they had spent hours on dads funeral and would only get a small amount back $500. This funeral took place in November 2019 but I haven't been able to write this review until now because we were so upset by Halls Funerals. When I rang to say we are changing homes because we didn't believe they could do the right thing she just said okay. No care in the world. We have written this review because at a time when you are most venerable we don't want anyone else to have to go through what we did.

Don't bother. Spend the extra money and go with a reputable service. My brother's arrangement - dates were wrong and the alleged slideshow was laughable (heads cut off). Still waiting for slideshow presentation to be emailed, almost one year. If I could give zero stars, I would. Pathetic. Lazy.
