Sharp Street Fish & Chips

I bought the lunch pack + a sav in batter (saveloy in batter) for $22.20. On average, you could spend $10-20 for the average person.
The battered sav was my favourite of the order 😍 the batter to sav ratio was pretty much perfect for my taste👌 not too much and not too little.
The fish was really good too, batter to fish ratio was on point, you could taste the fish rather than just a mouthful of batter and the fish wasn't mushy either.
The potato cakes were a bit thin, mostly batter but still a nice and crunchy texture.
This place is also good value for what you pay for. There were a decent amount of chips and the size of all extras like the flake and potato cakes were generous too.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone in the area 👌

Just picked up my first order and I'm pleased to say I'll be coming back for more! The girls threw in an extra potato cake which is like the old days!
Everything tastes so good, the shop was clean and they were quick and friendly.

Decided to try it based on positive comments from a fb post. It was great, food fresh, great batter, perfectly cooked. Service from entry to leaving with a smile. I tried fish, battered scallops, battered mussels, Sav in batter, all were excellent. I’ll be returning.

I'm a tradie who travels a lot around Melbourne and gets to experience various fish and chip shops. This one by far was the best ever. I'm not sure if it was my luck but the chips and flake were super fresh. I have a feeling they always use fresh oil. They seemed like they had a lot of repeat customers when I was inside the store which is obviously a good sign. The customer service was also top notch with smiling faces.

It was strange for us to be back in Melbourne for a week and not have our feed of flake abd chips. It was today, Monday and our regular Werribee place was closed so we googled and we found this shop at Hoppers. It was probably the nicest flake that we have had for years (difficult to find in Qld) battered and cooked to perfection, the flesh was tender and tasty. The chips and potato cakes were just as nice. It’s no doubt that this place is now our favourite. Keep up the quality owners ! Well done.

Crispy golden chips and perfectly grilled fish, Rouba knows how to bring seaside Fish and Chips to the suburbs. Hidden gem. Great for family day out, will be going again. Highly recommend.

We ordered the family flake pack with a burger and souvlaki. Everything was cooked to perfection the flake and chips was a light golden colour and very tasty, burger and souvlaki I haven’t tried nothing like it wow. Very generous will be back 100%.

If you are after fish and chips this is it. Crunchy chips and well battered fish. One of the best this side of Melbourne!

Amazing fish and chips! Fresh, crisp and lovely customer service! We order there for lunch for 10 people on Saturdays and everybody loves it! We accidentally left our dim sims there one day and the owner drove them to us and dropped them off. How is that for great service! We will be back, and back, and back!

I usually moan about how badly fish n chips are cooked in Aussie, but our order was AWESOME!!! The ladies nailed it.
Next time I'll try the souvlaki or hamburgers.

My partner and I are locals, we moved in shortly after sharp street management changed.
We have always had the best customer service, the best quality fish and chips at a reasonable price and the owner is absolutely lovely!!!
I wouldn't think twice about choosing them over any other F&C's in the area!!

This place is a short walk away so when I heard (Facebook) that the new owners did chips well, I went there. They are busy with deliveries, but did my order of fish and chips without delay. I noticed the cook cleaned the grill thoroughly (used three implements!), before putting my fish on (important to me - Burgers had been cooked on it, and a person at home is allergic to red meat, I was confident of the cleaning so allergic person was given fish and loved it- no allergies!) and I hadn't even mentioned the allergy to her! Generous pieces of fish, generous serve of minumum chips. Would recommend (and I am no relation or friend!), and plan on going regularly.

This fish & chip shop, is by far the best,I have eaten from, lived here local for over 36 years, it's quality very good family business.

Best in the west. Loved the battered mussles cooked perfectly. Hotdog delicious, chips not too soft not too crunchy. Highly recommend ✔
