The Colony Cafe

Came for lunch after exploring the Trowutta Arch and the dips fall. Also tried ALL the meads, alcohol up for tastings at the Blue Hills Honey reception(same building) so needing some rest and food before driving 😅
The siracha honey fried chicken wings tastes great and if the chicken marinated a bit longer then it would be perfect.
The pulled chicken burger was generously packed and very flavoursome. Tried the honey pale ale, beer with honey nosing, very interesting.
P.s. try the pepperberry honey ice cream.

Blue Hills honey with tasting is really great!

Very tasty meals made with fresh ingredients. We recommend the gluten free toasty and beer burger with fries. Great service in a very modern, clean cafe. Suitable for all ages.

Leatherwood honey Baklava is out of this world delicious. Cookies and cream cheesecake was also great. Lovely staff, great coffee. Great little store. Really, really worth the detour from Stanley

Beautiful setting. Love the playground. Disappointed they have taken away the beehives of information in playground area. More likely to read here than inside where children distract.

Small but perfect menu expertly prepared and served. We had lunch here after preparing hearty appetites visiting Dip Falls.

Well worth the beautiful drive.... Delicious Nachos and a lovely surprise that the filling/topping is all the way through the dish and not just dumped on top like most nachos.....and lovely coffee 😋

Fabulous little cafe - a real find. Beautiful decor, plenty of parking (including a Tesla charging station) and very friendly and helpful staff. We were there on Tuesday at nearly 2 pm but they were more than happy to serve lunch. The Wagyu beef pie was really really tasty, food was hot and served very quickly. Honey cake was yummy too. Highly recommend stopping in especially after a climb up & down the steps at Dip Falls, just 10 minutes down the road.

Out of the way but a great feed and the honey Mead was amazing. You will be surprised...even a Virtual Reality view inside a bee hive.

Awesome spot to sit in front of the wood heater and have a snack after visiting Dip Falls and the big tree. Great food and friendly staff.

Fantastic food in the Cafe. There's a great interactive board about bees in the shop area & you can sample locally made meads. Very clean & tidy.

Great little place, stopped here on the way back from walking the Nut. Stopped for a look which changed to lunch and a drink and some great product to take home. Worth the stop
