Definitely worth the drive out to visit these falls. We went after rains and it was flooding (so not quite as pretty), but very impressive. Yes a few steps down to the bottom, but a well done board walk with hand railings. Can also see the falls from a disabled access viewing platform on the other side of bridge. A short drive further to the Big Tree.

Definitely one of the most unique waterfalls in Tasmania! Impressive after a lot of rain but perhaps more beautiful with just the right amount of gushing water. Quite a few stairs to get to the platform at the base, but from the other side of the river there is a wheelchair accessible platform. Gravel road in for a few kms but easily managed in a 2WD. Drive on a bit further for the Big Tree Walk.

Dip falls is located in the Tarkine wilderness a little off the beaten track, and it's a spectacular short walk down to the base of the Falls or alternatively you can just park at the top and witness the majestic Falls from above. The waterfall itself isn't very tall by a lot of waterfall standards, but it is quite a wide rainforest fall, and also, how the water cascades over the basalt columns makes for an amazing view. Also, the water weeps through the rainforest to join the creek. It reminded me of a little bit of Plitvice in Croatia with its weeping forests. Highly recommend to visit these Falls if exploring the north west area. I stayed in Stanley and it was a short drive out to the Falls and the Big Tree

A very amazing waterfall! The rock formations are very special. Just about 20 mins return. There are bbq pits at the start of the walk.

Beautiful Falls with easy walk to top and bottom viewing platforms.
Large and small Basalt Rock columns decorate the Falls.
Picnic shelter, toilets, and even a barbecue round off a nice place to visit.
Just up the road, see the enormous tall trees.

Very impressive waterfalls especially after rains. With the walk down to the bottom of the Falls.
Only two Kilometers of dirt road that is on good condition to get to the Falls after majority of trip on good sealed road.
Walking times here and at the Big Tree are overestimated.

Amazing waterfall, easy track down to the bottom and disability access with incredible view on top as well.
Please don’t miss going to the Big Tree and hugging it, powerful Mother Nature energy.

Gorgeous falls. Wheelchair accessible platform at the top on one side and well built stairs to the bottom on the other side. Also be sure to drive 1Km further down the road to the Big Tree walk! Go to the falls after a bunch of rain if you want to see them like this!

Was an absolutely beautiful waterfall

Lots of water when we arrived

A short walk down some stairs at the bottom a beautiful look up at the falls. Then after walking back up there is also a short walk over the bridge to a lookout where you can look over the waterfall and at how far down it is.

Great for children

Beautiful waterfall and a magnificent giant tree to visit. If you want to view the waterfall from the bottom there are alot of stairs but you can view from the top easily, even wheelchair friendly. Highly recommend.

Dip Falls is a favourite of mine. One of God's great wonders. Beautiful and ever-changing all year round. There is a platform with disabled access to view the top falls. The new stairs to the bottom are easy, just a bit harder work coming back up. 😜

Went today and plenty of water flowing. The view from the top viewing platform was great and the 207 steps to the bottom were well worth it for the view at the base

Disability accessible water fall with disabled parking next to the main viewing platform. Wood fire/bbq facilities, shelter and flushing toilets.
Easy drive with a stop at the honey farm on the way. Worth a visit especially when it's been raining.

Visited after a dry summer but the falls were still a great sight. Terrific non - slip surfaced stairs down with hand rails, a very short walk from adequate parking area. Good amount of stairs but seating is provided along the way. Another disability access a short drive away provides a platform with views down over the falls. Definitely worth a visit.
