Guyala Cafe

This is one of the best cafes/restaurants I have ever been to and I live in Melbourne.

Me and my girlfriend were here for 5 days and we ended up going here 3 times because it was that good!

The food is exquisite, presentation excellent with great coffee and service.

This place is a must if you're in Cairns!

So this place deserves an all 5 stars
1) Went for Breakfast. Ordered a delicious tasting Avocado Toast ( vegan cheese) and Piccolo
2) Went again for Dinner. We were given a separate Vegan Menu. Welcomed by Focaccia bread with olive oil and a palete cleanser( yummy) All dishes were super delicious. Julia was very warm

Last night, a friend and I ordered the steak. It was so tender and cooked to absolute perfection, hands down the best I have had in Cairns ever. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! The atmosphere was also a delight, the warm glow and homey-ness is completely unmatched and suited the esplanade surrounding. The service was also amazing! Our waitress for the evening was Julia. She was extremely attentive and made sure that we had an amazing experience and were well looked after. I highly recommend Guyala, it is most certainly one of a kind and so far the best restaurant I have had the pleasure of dining at in Cairns.

Just grabbed a coffee passing through the area. Indoor area looked nice and there's outdoor seating available too. Staff were friendly and a server asked if we've been looked after while we were waiting for coffee. Just across the Esplanade where you can enjoy a nice walk by the water.

Thanks for the amazing dinner experience. We had really good time. Love all the dishes especially the fish wings and smoke duck:) Specially thanks to Julia who served us today very accommodating and great suggestion for wines! Yummy

YUM!! I haven't had such a delicious breakfast in a long time... The restaurant is a little bit more fancy but every meal is a piece of art. The menu is very thoughtful and every meal is an explotion of taste bud's. The venue is breezy and surrounded by tropical plants - it almost feels like you're sitting in the jungle. The service is very friendly and attentive. It's a little bit more pricey compared to other places but totally worth a visit!!

Absolutely phenomenal food and service offered by the team at Guyala. My partner and I were really cared for and looked after and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cairns.

Their Truffle Mushroom Toast is probably the best breakkie dish I've ever had! I normally find the flavour of Truffles very overpowering but the team at Guyala have managed to strike the right balance of ingredients to create something which is out of the world!

Solid portions as well. 10/10 would come back here!

We had a great breakfast here in a Sunny Sunday morning. A really nice atmosphere with great service and friendly staff. All meals are really well presented with a little Australiana used in the preparation. The Vietnamese coffees were so good too!

I’m thrilled to see this place open for dinners now. I love coming here for breakfast as my partner and I are addicted to the lemon Myrtle Eggs Benedict. Seems like our newest addiction are the garlic prawns we shared as a starter along with the most tender octopus. For mains we had the Salmon&Couscous and the Duck with Crackling and duck fat potatoes. Everything was so delicious..we wanted to try so much more. So we will definitely be back.
The Service was great too. I wasn’t sure which wine to choose to go with my main so Julia gave me some tasters which I really appreciated. She’s got detailed knowledge about the wines and led me to the perfect choice.
We loved our experience and will be back mornings and nights ☀🌙

I’ve always loved Guyala but their special of lobster Mac n cheese is one of the BEST meals I have EVER EATEN! So much lobster, such a creamy, gourmet, cheesy mac, it was simply sensational. We spoke to the chef Tony (we HAD to tell him how amazing it was) and Tony said that with a couple of days notice via a phone call, he could ensure it’s on the menu. Now how good is that service! Well done Oli and the team. Guyala leading the way in food and service in Australia!

One of the MUST VISIT cafe in Cairns. Coffee is always on the point. Foods are DELICIOUS. Presentation of the foods are great as well. Kids always treated with such a special care. Highly recommend.

One of the best breakfast we have had during our visit to Australia. The ambience, service and the food it’s top notch with a great variety of food. Very fresh and delicious combinations from tofu, truffle , salmon, and even steak. We’re planning to go back tomorrow morning as well.

Highly recommended! Very attention to detailed cafe. The environment is peaceful and modern. It is not easy to find that kind of style cafe in cairns. Staff are really friendly, greeting with sunny smile when we got in but unfortunately couldn’t get her name. For the foods, the truffle toasted was okay, it is up to standard. But the pork belly one is really blow my mind. Everything on the plate are making your taste super balance. Not too oily and not feeling too much to have it in the breakfast.
In general, very good experience at all.

Fantastic dinner experience ! The smoked apple & dragon fruit crumble dessert was divine!

This is our favourite spot in Cairns. Brunch here is always great and the service is always outstanding! We enjoy the vegan options and the wine list, too.

Last Friday during my lunch break I had lunch for the first time at the Guyala Café.
Everything went for the best, fast service, friendly staff and exquisite food.

We visited this place during our transit in Cairns. Its absolutely a stunning cafe with beautiful views and amazing breakfast. Chef was kind enough to serve us quickly as we were short on time.

What a lovely place! Had lunch there with Eggs Benedict with Kangaroo and Smoked Duck Noodles. Both dishes looked amazing and tasted equally good. Service was very friendly, kept checking up our water and how everything was for us. Would definitely recommend for lunch!
