Finally found amazing croissants in Cairns. Much better than the other places we've been to.

The layers are well built and the overall flavour balance is fantastic. They use a more bitter, dark chocolate in the pan au choclat and it's so divine.

Been here a number of times. Love the sweet pastry here, especially the pear. Coffee is good too, especially when the cappuccino isn't flat!

how did I not know about this place until today? went there for breakfast. good choice and reasonably priced. nice iced coffee too. could not help to go back to get more pastry to try. amazing. basic outdoor seating but nothing wrong with that. will be back

We visited cairns for 5 weeks and kept coming back to this small cafè. Everything they have is really good, perfect croissants, great small quiches. I fell in love with their lemon tart and ordered almost it everytime we were there.

When visiting Cairns this bakery is a must visit if you truly love French baguettes 🥖 this bakery is the best in Australia. Believe me, I’ve tried tried many down the east coast. This by far the best.

When we walked in we were underwhelmed with what we first saw.
But on closer inspection there was a big variety of pastries.
And we got about 10 different items all were absolutely delicious.
I wish we lived closer as this would bey local place to purchase breads and pastry for sure!!
Apple pie was my favourite!!

Seriosly the best bakery I have ever been to in my life can’t even explain the flavour and the quality of the bread, you just need to go there and try for your self 1000 out of 10

I just stop here with a coffee to enjoy the view, one of my little spots. Nothing special. Mountainous backdrop & the sugar cane which changes year round. Nice quiet spot for a breather 😊

If you do one thing today, it should be to go here and get your chompers around the best pan au chocolat outside France. And do it now before someone else (me) beats you to it.

I live down the road from Le Crouton, walking distance to their delicious pastries and coffee, and sometimes I think I should move...even closer to this place.

Coffee is also great, everyone there is lovely, and the line at the front door should tell you everything I haven't.

Love the food. Those who can't tell the difference between real butter and something made with care and attention which does cost a little more. then maybe this isn't for you. Everyone else go and enjoy real quality

Wonderful croissants, baguettes and such variety! Great for break or or lunch. Better than you find in France!

Best pastries ever. Sweet and savoury are both delicious. Amazing bread. If you’re feeling like some baked goods, get here! Coffee is okay but not their forte

From a Frenchman living in Cairns.
Going there took me on a culinary flight back home. Everything is very faithful to traditional French bakeries, except the staff is way nicer. Coffees are good and everything is priced well. While some say it might be a bit remote it is definitely worth the trip.
If you are looking for a good bakery, look no further.

Really nice crunchy Baguettes. I had the smoked salmon and it was really nice. Gave my jaw a nice work out and was yum. Seemed very popular with a constant stream of customers. Need to work on getting their coffees out a little faster but I will be back again with the Missus.

Such a fabulous cafe - beautiful products, and the owner/baker works so hard to deliver excellent quality every time (The macha latte is definitely the best in cairns). In particular, Taka (?) is such an amazing an staff member - his service delivery and attention to detail is above and beyond what I encounter at any other cafe in cairns ;-)
