I had what should have been an easy conveyance, but the other side demonstrated oth errors and lack of knowledge. These created big challenge s to manage them and their attempts to avoid liability. Viji helped a great deal, demonstrating helpfulness and then when the other side became increasingly silly l she changed her style to circumvent their time wasting.
It's easy to review someone when everything was easy, but when a challenge arises and your solicitor can manage it effectively, then that's the sort of person you want on your side. Great job.

Shal Lawyers provided an extremely disappointing service. If it were possible to give negative stars, I would certainly opt for that. I strongly advise against trusting them, especially the owner who displayed unprofessionalism and dishonesty throughout our interaction. It seemed as though she lacked a fundamental understanding of her own profession, as I often found myself having to explain basic concepts to her.

I initially engaged their services through my real estate agent with a specific request for a property transfer document necessary for my loan's unconditional approval. Despite assurances from the Shal team that they were handling the matter, this was back in August 2023.

On December 20, 2023, the vendor's solicitor sent an email indicating a land settlement date of January 3, 2024, which I promptly forwarded to the Shal team. Vjajyakumari, the owner of Shal Lawyers, assured me that she would take care of everything.

However, it wasn't until January 15, 2024, that the Shal team finally acted, informing me abruptly that the land settlement was scheduled for that day. They provided no prior notice or warning, and only on that day did they forward the document crucial for my loan's unconditional approval—a document I had been requesting since August 2023.

Due to their delays, I incurred additional penalties amounting to approximately $8,000, even though I managed to complete the settlement within two weeks.

I have gathered all necessary evidence to support my claims and have filed complaints against them with Fair Trading, the OLSC, and the Law Society of Australia.

Please exercise caution when dealing with Shal Lawyers—my experience serves as a cautionary tale."

Unfortunately, my experience with Shal Lawyers has left me feeling misled and dissatisfied. Throughout my engagement, I expected open communication and transparency regarding all aspects of the legal process. Regrettably, it became apparent that crucial information was not disclosed, and certain details were kept hidden. This lack of transparency has had significant consequences for me, both financially and emotionally.

Vijayakumari's primary focus was on personal gain rather than providing ethical and client-centric legal services. I trusted that she would act in my best interest, but it appears that financial gain took precedence over honesty and integrity.

I believe that a successful professional relationship is built on trust, communication, and transparency. Unfortunately, I did not experience these essential elements here and it has left me with a sense of frustration and betrayal.

Also, an important point to be noted is her English comprehension skills are below average and she can't comprehend meanings of simple English sentences. I wonder how could she provide legal guidance to her clients with such poor English skills.

Anyway, it is my humble request to whoever here is coming to see their ratings to do your due diligence and choose your solicitors wisely. You can also contact me personally and I can run you past the ordeal I had to face by involving Vijayakumari. I have evidences of text messages, call records and emails to prove this.

I would like to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the solicitor services provided by Vijayakumari. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share my geniune concerns.

Communication was a significant issue throughout the entire process. I consistently struggled to receive timely responses to my emails, text messages and phone calls. It felt as though my case was not a priority, leading to unnecessary delays and heightened stress levels on my part.

There was always no transparency in terms of costs and next steps and eventually lead me to moving to a new conveyancer. Furthermore, Vijayakumari showed lack of empathy, and poor customer service despite knowing this was the first time I entered the property market.

I would strongly caution others against working with Vijayakumari for any property matters. I sincerely hope that my feedback serves as an opportunity for improvement in the services and experience provided by her.
