I'd like to thank Dr Ryan & his team for their fast & efficient service during my on-going treatment for glaucoma. All their explanations & tests are provided in a caring way which has me in & out of the rooms in a relaxed manner.

My eye cataract surgerys were over several weeks and the end result was better than I could have hoped for. Dr Ryan and his team, from the anesthetist, the staff at South Brisbane Day Hospital and the staff at Queensland Eye Institute were extremely professional. I had questions and concerns and together they made my journey to better vision as easy, painlessly and efficiently as possible. I love my new ultra high definition 4k Technicolor vision. I would more than recommend Dr Geoffrey Ryan and his team if you are considering this procedure.

First Appointment at 9am in Brisbane for cataract exam
I was taken for eye scans and test at exactly 9amf when my appointment was scheduled for, I did not have to wait at all and the whole process was flawless. I saw Dr Ryan at the end of the consultation and we chose the type of lens I would like.

Day of Surgery
Surgery was very sucessful and I felt no pain or discomfort at all after the surgery.

2nd Appointment - check up next day
Again, I was seen to at the time of my appointment, no waiting. The cataract surgery was a complete success. I saw Dr Ryan again and he examined my eye and told me to come and see him in 6 weeks.

3rd Appointment - check up - Kingaroy
Arrived at the hospital at Kingaroy and spoke with the optometrist who conducted some tests on my eye. After my tests all came back positive, I then spoke with Dr Ryan and he gave me another exam and told me everything looked great!!

I cannot recommend Dr Ryan and his team enough. The whole team of optometrists, clerical staff are exceptional. I am ecstatic about my new lense and my sight has improved 100%. I wish I had known I had a cataract ages ago :)

I couldn't be happier with Dr Ryan and Kate. My sight had deteriorated greatly over a 6 month period suffering from Intraocular Cataracts (both eyes). Now I have better than 20/20 vision. The decision to use Qld Eye Institute for my surgery has been life changing. Thankyou so much to everyone involved in my care.

Where do I begin? From the first consultation through to the last Dr Ryan has provided detailed information that allowed informed decisions about options and what to expect in a clear and unrushed manner. My two "new" eyes are exactly what was planned and were delivered without any fuss or complications. Dr Ryan and his team at QEI are amazing. They are very supportive and have provided myself and countless others with the opportunity to continue life without the constraints of glasses. We often take the little things for granted and I am very glad I was provided the details of QEI.

I'm extremely happy with my cataract and stent surgery. I have not used glasses since the surgery 2 months ago. Wonderful bonus and my eye pressure has dropped without the use of anymore eyedrops to date.

Having been apprehensive in the beginning, Dr Ryan and his team made me feel very comfortable and relieved any stress about the situation.

Dr Geoffrey Ryan has looked after me with my two eye surgeries that I had to have done in April 23. He is a wonderful and caring Opthalmolgist. During surgery, even though internally I was terrified, Doctor Ryan and the staff at QEI looked after me, and I couldn't be more grateful and appreciative. Having a wonderful and experienced optalmologist who cares about you and your eyes goes a long way. I did alot of research on Dr Geoffrey Ryan, prior to my required surgery, and I am so happy I chose him to be my doctor. I had cleaning laser treatment on both my eyes following cataract surgery which was done by Dr. Ryan.
At all times from my first consultation with Dr. Ryan until he had completed the treatment, I felt completely at ease with him and he acted in a very courteous and professional manner.
Following the treatment by Dr. Ryan, I went to my optometrist to have my eyes tested to renew my driver's license and driver's authority to drive school buses.
The optometrist told me that I no longer needed glasses to drive heavy vehicles something I had needed to do for almost thirty years.
I can only very highly recommend Dr.Ryan for any eye treatments necessary.

Very professional and caring service from Dr Ryan and his team at Qld Eye Institute. Cataracts removed, new lenses inserted, and stents implanted to relieve eye pressure. Overall very successful operations with miminal discomfort. Results are far better than expected. Highly recommended to anyone with similar conditions.

Dr Geoffrey Ryan operated on 2 cataracts as my eyesight deteriorated , he has done a great job on both eyes, long sight is great . He was very efficient in his work manner ,good follow-up service as well. Thank you very much for your great service Phil Anderson. I will need reading glasses only.

Went to get new specs. Optomotrist said eye a bit cloudy behind the lens, and recommended getting a YAG laser touch-up at Queensland Eye Institute. 'it is cheap and easy, and wont change your prescrition'.
Why not? So we went to Dr Geoffrey Ryan at QEI Clayfield, expecting a consult. All the staff were good. Came out half an hour later with job done. Bulk billed, and a real improvement in clear eyesight. Depending on your condition, I very highly recommend QEI. Dont be lazy and put up with mediocre vision.

Dr Ryan, apart from being an excellent surgeon made me feel very comfortable and at ease. I had my surgery in Kingaroy. I am extremely pleased with the result and would recommend him to anyone requiring this procedure.
