BreakFree Royal Harbour Cairns

We stayed in the 3br on floor 8. It was updated, and really nice. I’d have to say the building is a bit dated, but our unit was great! We accidentally left my daughters lovie, and a pillow. And the gentleman at the front desk left notes on our car to check in with him before we left town (we had checked out and went to the aquarium before heading out), and he returned our items. I’d definitely stay here again.

Royal Harbour is above the night markets smack dab in the middle of the Cairns Esplanade.

Totally secure facility, balcony view of ocean/Esplanade

Staff are super friendly. Room is clean and modern. Has a kitchen, washing machine and totally self contained.

The price is super cheap for this time of year (new years 2023)

Food is easily accessible downstairs. It has limited free parking, and most of all it has great views

We absolutely loved staying at Royal Harbour apartments. This was so central to everything, glorious views and the staff were wonderful. The apartment was lovely, clean, and perfectly positioned to explore all the sight of Cairns - within walking distance to everything and right above the Night Market so loads of opportunity to shop. Will definitely be back :)

Great apartment. Comfortable, has all the necessities like washing machine, good bathroom, we had a view to the esplanade which was lovely.

The shower head may need replacing. We stayed in room 506.

Lovely place to stay on the centre of the restaurant area. We had a one bedroom apartment with balcony overlooking the pool and with ocean views.

Could not have been happier with this accommodation. We had a spa unit with lots of views over the harbour. Located above the night markets was ideal and didnt need a car or cab. The unit is roomy and very clean and very quiet. Resort staff were excellent. I would not stay anywhere else

Hubby and I spent 3 nights and would've loved to stay longer, alas it was not possible. From the moment I contacted Cyrileanne at reception to the moment we left, I was in a world of bliss. Cyrileanne made me an offer I couldn't refuse (heaps cheaper than the booking sites) and was incredibly friendly and helpful with the booking. We had room 706 on the 7th floor overlooking the foreshore, harbour and lagoon. You couldn't get a better location. The night markets are right next door and there's many restaurants and cafes within 5-10mins walk catering to every taste. The pool was a perfect temperature and well kept. The apartment was roomy, comfortable and clean and had everything you would need for a few days including kitchenware. There was even a circular spa bath from which you could watch the boats coming and going out on the harbour.
Many thanks to Cyrileanne, Abbey and Valter on reception who are all so very welcoming and helpful. What a great team of people. Also big shout out to all the staff who clean the rooms and maintain the building. You're all doing a brilliant job. We will definitely be back.

Stay each year for past ten or so years.ocean spa room only way to go. Handy to bars cafes and night markets. Location quiet. Needs more stylish furniture. Staff friendly. Handy to esplanade pools.best units on higher floors. Excellent harhour views. Resort pool under utilised by guests but always looks clean and inviting.has small gym but does not seem to be used much by guests. Pity that. One of the best esplanade locations in cairns. Prices as usual could be lower but reasonable for location. Would i recommend it. Yes i would.

This place is a little older but still a great place to stay. The view from our room was beautiful. The only downside I think is the parking,which is at the back of the hotel on a different street, would maybe need to be emphasised on the web page, otherwise people will be looking to park at the front which by the way was not manned. Maybe this was due to the current situation. Otherwise a great place.

In a fantastic location on esplanade opposite lagoon pool. Friendly staff on reception. Very comfortable beds and great apartments. Great barbecue area and pool. Highly recommended, great value

Very spacious rooms excellent location on the esplanade right next to the lagoon accross the road. Good value accommodation for what you get. Well equipped kitchen with large fridge cooktop and washing machine.

We stayed at the breakfree plenty of times, was always our go to place when we came down from tinaroo, good location, great rooms and beautiful view

FANTASTIC location. Across the road from the esplanade and lagoon! I love the salt water pool and the outdoor BBQ area. The rooms are clean, air-conditioned, maintained, spacious and self contained.

Excellent central location that has everything you need at your door step. Found my unit on Air B&B and couldn't have been happier. Super close (10 min walk) to the boat terminal for trips out to the GBR. Woolworths down the street a few blocks for groceries

Love the apartment we are in. Has all we need, for cooking, washing machine, hot plates, convection oven, microwave oven. Good ocean views

Really nice ocean view. The hotel is in a great location above the night markets, and it’s walking distance to all the cafes, restaurants and pier.
