Forrest Hotel and Apartments

I stayed at the Forrest Hotel for 6 nights.

Everything at this hotel exceeded my expectation. My room was very clean and had all the required amenities. I also booked the Nottingham conference room, which was a superb venue overseen by the lovely lady Yvonne, who assisted in getting the room seating according to my requirement.

Lastly, I cannot give enough credit and thanks to the wonderful staff at reception. These young ladies are the most helpful and sweet people one could hope to have at a reception area.

Fantastic location, within walking distance to parks and shops and the lake. A simple room but with everything you need. Comfortable bed, warm linen, fantastic shower. The Queen room had a toaster, kettle, microwave and bar fridge. Staff very efficient. I spent a wonderful 4 nights here in April and we’ll definitely choose this place again for our next visit. Also, the beautiful tree lined street was such a bonus!

Recently stayed for 6 nights in a 2 bedroom, self catering apartment. The apartment was lovely and clean with all the amenities required to cook dinner and make breakfast for ourselves during our stay. It is conveniently close to the Manuka and Kingston shopping areas so we chose to eat out on a few of the nights. There is ample parking and the neighbourhood is very quiet so we slept well. There is aircon and electric blankets as well as a couple of portable heaters if you need them. We stayed in June so it wasn't really cold so the aircon was enough. There is a restaurant onsite that had a pretty good menu for room service and they do a room service breakfast hamper but we did not need to use that service. I am happy to recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Canberra. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautifully positioned close to Parliament House. Fully furnished with beds to accommodate 5, laundry, kitchen. So everything you need if staying for a bit & sightseeing. Comfortable & clean. Good value for 3.5 star rating. Food delicious from restaurant. Thank you

I had the pleasure of staying at Forrest Hotel and Apartments in their two bedroom apartment and it was exactly what my colleague's and I needed for an overnight stay.
Great setup for families or those staying a few nights as the apartment had a well equipped kitchen and washer & dryer.

Great one bedroom apartment. All kitchen and laundry facilities available. Lovely large windows making the rooms very bright . Close to transport and shops . Everything well maintained.

Great Value for a Great Stay in Canberra!

This was my third time that I have stayed at Forrest Hotel and Apartments, and I was not disappointed. The staff are very courteous, friendly & helpful. When I entered the room, it was extremely neat, tidy & clean, which I was pleased with. Also, when I went out & about exploring Canberra, my room was serviced daily. The room had all the amenities & facilities which I needed, like a microwave, which I used daily & it was very handy, that I was able to pop down to the onsite Sherwood Restaurant to order side dishes to go with my meals. I made a booking ahead, to ensure that I was staying in a room, which was looking out at the trees, which are lovely. The location is very convenient, not only is it a short walk to Manuka shops, cafes & restaurants, it is adjacent to Parliament House in the Parliamentary Business District. Forrest Hotel is handy to a lot of the capital’s places of interests, like the National Library of Australia, the National Portrait Gallery, Lake Burley Griffin, the National Museum of Australia and other exhibitions. The bus stop is only a short distance to the Hotel. This time I extended my stay & had a great time. I am looking forward to coming back again & staying at Forrest Hotel again!

I travelled with a group of seniors, 28 of us in total. The staff looked after us beautifully from the time we booked until we departed. The rooms are very clean and tidy and have all the required amenities. The location of the hotel is excellent - close to everything and in walking distance from many local attractions.

The hotel arranged a hot breakfast for our group which was outstanding.

We will definitely come back next time we undertake this tour.

Clean and compact 2 bedroom apartment with snow white towels and crisp bed linen. Very impressive. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Room 5 stars, an easy decision! We loved staying in this apartment and it was great value, clean and peaceful next to the tennis courts. The only blip was a misunderstanding with reception but didn't tarnish the stay. Oh and the broad band was excellent..

Hi I am Anish Thomas and would like to share my great experience at Forrest apartments I had stayed there may 6th and 7th 2024 2 nights and 3 days .The place was the best choice I had made the Canberra location peaceful green garden , I had chose 2 bedroom apartment for 2 days with my family the kids loved the place with Cole's and manuka shops very near by it was really a great stay the staff where so friendly and helpful I had reached the place very late but got the keys with ease late night due to our road trip it's really a great place to be with family with Parliament house and other site seeing very near by .it's a family run business got to meet the owner on the way out during checkout the staffs and everyone where so warm and friendly

Very clean and nice budget motel. Excellent for a peaceful nights rest. Stopped en route to Melbourne from Sydney and loved it.

I really enjoyed my stay here! From the outside it doesn’t look like too much, but the rooms were cozy and perfectly sized for the price. Lots of ways to keep warm- heat pump, blankets, and electric blanket! The shower was great, good sized TV, comfy bed. Loved it!

Great base location for business in Canberra.
Facilities are functional and the cost represented good value.

Great location in the parliament area. The reception staff is kind, good fares, great location And the building itself looks well maintained. The room we had was perfect for two and well equipped with cutlery, cups, coffee station. Clean room in all aspects, no bad odors, fresh towels, extra blankets. We visited in May and it was fairly cold but worry not, the room had two electric blankets which saved our night and kept us warm. Overall great experience.

Standart motel with free parking and tea and coffee in the room. Close to the center but you need a car to get around from there. They have microwave on the reception if you need.

Excellent accommodation and staff. Located close to the parliamentary circle, Manuka and Kingston shops and restaurants. A quiet location adjacent to parkland. Ideal for the business traveller or for a family.

Clean, tidy apartment in prime location! Room size was great for our family, large kitchen, beautiful garden views with bbq facilities and on site parking. This hotel is walking distance to brilliant cafes, bars, restaurants in Manuka and Barton. We also walked to the National Art Gallery and Lake Burley Griffin, a perfect Spring day in Canberra. Friendly and helpful hotel staff too!
