The restaurant is busy, obviously very popular. Bookings under 4 need to add their names to a waiting list. The wait was maybe 20 minutes, is okay when you are patient. We were patient. Once in and seated, the staff are efficient, attending to us. The food is plentiful and delicious. We asked for the signature dish and even enjoyed dessert. I highly recommend a visit to Holy Basil, Parramatta!

This place has a nice ambience, beautifully decorated. Food came out fast and so delicious. I went for dinner with a friend from Thailand, and he was very impressed with the food.

Cocktails are pleasing to the eyes, gorgeous and has a lot of options.

My family dined at Holy Basil Parramatta for lunch today - which for all accounts was practically a flawless and throughly enjoyable dining experience. Food was absolutely delicious and served swiftly from the bustling kitchen. Service staff were super attentive and responsive (quite a few stopped to play and entertain our baby son). I couldn’t really ask for more. Would happily recommend to anyone looking for sublime Thai food in Parramatta.

very quick service the staff are attentive and lovely. i went there for the dessert because they are not HALAL certified. but the mango sticky coconut rice pudding and the custard Apple drink was too delicious and so flavourful. Ambience is really nice, colourful, and aesthetic with lots of Buddhas statue and you can enjoy the Parramatta River view also.

Our fave Thai place ‘downstairs’🤩. Best Pad Siew and Massaman Beef Curry - could never get tired of these dishes, made fresh right in front of you - in our case, literally! The place is always packed, no matter what the day is. Lovely atmosphere and prompt service. This restaurant doesn’t really need a recommendation as it pretty much speaks for itself! Lovely dinner and with a giant statue right on our table.

Exceptional Thai restaurant for their food selections and flavours.

The restaurant is situated facing riverside and is pleasantly bright and airy.

The food is consistently of a high standard with the expected strong flavours of Thai food. Favourites include: pork belly stirred fried in oyster and garlic sauce, fried whole fish with chilli and grilled beef tongue.

For dessert, you can't go wrong with the fried ice-cream which is in a light pastry (not batter) and served with caramelised coconut.

The service is very efficient despite how busy they are generally and always accommodating, especially with kids, prams and the like.

Would very much recommend 👍

An authentic Thai food place. Good food and good atmosphere. Try to book before you go especially table along Parramatta river. Try the deep fry whole perch if you like fish. Skewers are good too.

Thai emperor feast ! Sawadee kap ! Words cannot describe this grandeur masterpiece decor of Thai royal style. Deep, rich aroma welcomes you as you walk into this amazing Thai heaven. Foods were also beautifully prepared particularly the mango salad bream was very delightful with easy bite sized pcs. Fish cake, Thai beef salads, Pad Thai were excellent although rice was little soggy. The waitress service was very attentive and supportive for our team needs. We had a very memorable NYE party dinner with the fabulous banquet menu. The "open" kitchen was very tidy and well organized. From on line booking, confirmation, foods, service and the bill - everything went so smoothly and perfect ! So I give the PERFECT SCORE ! Thank you and well done to the team ! Ko Pun Kap !

A staple Laos and Thai restaurant which I have been visiting to since their original restaurant opened in Canely Vale. The Parramatta store was just as good. Highly recommend the ox tongue, pineapple fried rice and the must-have fried ice cream. Great to have this restaurant as another option within Parramatta! 👍😋

We went here not expecting much as I don't live in the area but was pleasantly surprised with the quality and aesthetics of this place.

We ordered Chilli Basil pork belly, Panang chicken curry, Thai milk tea and Thai coffee. All were delicious and filling.
The pork was juicy and had great crispy skin. The curry sauce was so smooth and tasty with a fair amount of chicken and veggies.

I would recommend both of these dishes.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was breathtaking. I had never seen a Thai restaurant with as much decoration and culture.

There is definitely a high demand for reservations at this place, luckily we got a table for 2 for walk-in but in the future I would reserve in advance.

Although it is in the higher price range I think it is definitely worth it.

The long queues week after week, month after month are testament to how good this place is. The food is excellent and the ambiance is stunning. This is one of my go to places for Thai food and when I want somewhere special for guests. This is one of Sydney's standout experiences and I highly recommend it.

I want to give 5 stars for atmosphere but I feel like it's way too squashy.

But if you want the best and most unusual Thai dishes you will ever have in Western Sydney then this Is the place..

I mean one night I went here with kids and we really couldn't choose what we wanted. We ended up ordering everything haha (slight exaggeration)

There is a huge choice on the menu, which is a good thing and bad thing.

Great food honest to god, well that was my experience.

Plus afterwards burn it off and go for a walk afterwards for some ice cream at Messina 😉

One of the most popular Thai food in town, they have quite a few outlets. Check if there’s any closer to you if this isn’t the best outlet to visit.

Environment 5/5
Very unique vibes in the restaurant, they built a second level within the restaurant and lots of Thai deco. But it can get really crowded and noisy during peak hours.

Service 5/5
We took a seat upstairs, but the service never failed. They have staff up there to look after that level.

Tom yum seafood 3/5
This is not up to expectation to be honest, could be due to localising the flavour, it is not sour and hot enough. And FULL of mushroomssssssss, very little seafood.

Fish cake 5/5
I feel that this is a little bit overpriced, but luckily it taste good enough to feel worth ordering it. It’s flavourful and texture is just right perfect.

Vermicelli salad 3/5
This is a disappointment honestly, amount of vermicelli is for 1 pax I guess, not for sharing. The salad dressing is nice, sour and spicy making it very flavourful.

Roast pork stir fried vege 5/5
Unexpectedly huge portion! The amount of meat and vege is massive. The roast pork taste amazing.

Fried ice cream 5/5
Must try for sweet tooth! Crepe outside is very thin and gives a nice texture on top of the soft Icecream inside. Dried coconut is quite sweet, so mix with the passion fruit to blend in sourness.

Will I come back again 4/5
Will say a yes because there’s a lot more other dishes to try out

Recommended dishes
- fried ice cream
- roast pork with vege

What a lovely place to be. The food is phenomenal - rich flavours that flare in authenticity. General atmosphere is nice too. The duck curry, in my opinion, is a must. While the menu is perhaps slightly pricey, it feels very much worth it given the high quality of the food and the subsequent dining experience.

Really great quality Thai food. Flavoursome, delicious and authentic. The staff were friendly and the decor was very Thai!!! Recommend the banquet if in a group, otherwise try the massaman curry, the pad see ew and the cashew veggie stir-fry. All were excellent. Take note - if in a group, they may go with the one in, all in approach to the banquet! Have been twice and on 1 occasion everyone had to have the banquet and on the other, some could choose individual meals. Also they do not split bills.

Great location. Staff here are friendly and helpful. Place can get pretty busy on a weekend so need to be mindful but the food here is absolutely divine. The signature dish a little bit confronting with the fish head shown but all the bits of fish have been deboned- it’s crunchy and full of flavour. The fruit shake selection is great and so are the alcohol choices. Soft shell crab is done well comes with a nice dipping sauce. And the paw paw salad Laos style was really refreshing

Hidden gem restaurant in Parramatta. Nice atmosphere, delicious food and friendly staffs. I celebrated Lunar new year here with family and we were satisfied with the food and hospitality. Definitely will come back for ox tongue and the Wagyu beef. My kid also love the fried ice cream. Well done!
