Mama Bao

I found this place on EatClub and was skeptical after reading Google reviews but I was pleasantly surprised.

It was buzzing at lunchtime and the staff were quick and friendly. I got the three option with rice combo and it was exactly what I expected for a cheap lunchtime meal.
Tasty, decent quality, fast food Chinese. I even appreciated that the meat dishes had a good amount of vegetables.
Honestly not sure why they get bad reviews.
Only comment would be that they need to better maintain temperature of the food but I understand it’s difficult when it’s openly presented like that and the turnover was quick so I didn’t mind.

Convenient, delicious and BIG portion size. Prices are pretty cheap considering convenience, definite value for money. Chilli basil chicken is the best! You can design your own stir fry noodles or noodle soups or laksa, customised to your liking.
If you dine-in, they bring your food to your face, nice and quick service.

Great lunch spot in CBD! For a quick lunch, I had 2 choices menu: Fried Rice with Stir Fried Vegetables and Szechuan Chicken. It was yum & portion was generous.

They also do Build Your Own Noodle, and their dumplings seem to be house because I saw the fresh dumplings being made on the kitchen bench. It’s a nice atmosphere to dine in with lots of seatings, and they use normal plates & cutlery (not disposables) when you dine in, so it’s environment friendly!

Good place, good food, the staff was so nice. Sure will comeback!

Pad Thai BBQ pork. Bao and soup. Was worried because of the reviews but I think the others reviews was people being hangry as they waited longer for their order. All in all Decent feed for the price.

Had the laska and clear soup on 2 different occasions and both were fantastic! Very tasty, great portions. Fresh and great flavors!

Amazing honey chicken!

The Laksa was 10/10! Very good portion size and the soup was really nice. Would definitely come back for that.
Prawn dumplings were 5/10. Too doughy and not much prawn.

I ordered Pad See Ew, Crab Spring Rolls and Pork Bao Slider via doordash. They do charge service fee on top of the delivery fee but, you'll get a 10% discount when it's your first time to order thru doordash.

Pad see ew - quite generous serving but not the best in town.
Crab spring roll and Bao have always been my favourite. Cravings satisfied!

Near my college at Wynyard. The environment is great for dining. I have tried the rich with two sides and their tomyum noodle soup. The taste is okay and the quantity is good. Overall the place is great if you are hungry and in the area.
