Yahoo Restaurant (Chinese and Malaysia cuisine)

When an eatery has the confidence to set up shop in the middle of nowhere, no other restaurants in sight, with a bustling atmosphere inside. I knew I was in for a treat.

I actually was recommended Yahoo in Mt Gravatt and I’m not sure if these restaurants with the same name have a familial relationship, but because we were visiting friends who were travelling from GC, we met them halfway at Yahoo in Waterford West.

I really enjoyed the dishes that were selected but my friends felt that the dishes were nothing special (they’re spoilt for choice Sydneysiders.) One of the highlights for me was the marmite prawns. I’m a sucker for things that are crispy on the outside, succulent on the inside.

The service was okay, a bit slow but understandable due to the restaurant being quite full.

Amazing experience. I was craving some delicious Chinese food and when I searched on google maps, this wasn't actually the place I was headed to.... But I pulled in, instead of driving past and seeing a high score on Google, decided to go in instead of my original destination.... And I'm glad I did. This is one of the best Chinese food places I've ever been to. The staff were friendly and the food is fantastic. Nice fresh vegetables and the beef was velveted perfectly and was so soft and tender. If I lived nearby, this would be the only place I'd ever go. Thank you! 谢谢!

Well if someone is quite daring to open a restaurant in the middle of nowhere, the food must be 110% and it is. Complete with your usual tacky decorations, it's perfect atmosphere for some serious drinks and big Feast

Great Malaysian restaurant in Brisbane. Quick service and tasty food, good size portion as well. Friendly services and reasonable price for the portion. Clean and well maintained. Highly recommended!!!

Delicious authentic Malaysian food! Highly recommended the curry fish, mermite pork , magic clamp and seafood fry egg noodle ! Staff is very friendly and helpful. The environment is suitable for big group of friends and family. It’s bright and clean inside the restaurant. Few parking space available outside the restaurant. The dessert is not to bad as well! Thanks for the tasty food which makes us feel like home.

One of the best and authentic Malaysian restaurants in Brisbane. We like to go here to get our Malaysian cuisine fix, and well priced for great value for money. Just found out they also have Assam Laksa!(and not the bland watery type🤤).

We have eaten here several times, love the food, and love the staff. A hidden gem of a restaurant.

Authentic Malaysian dishes with great flavours and tasty menu options. Best enjoyed with a group of friends so you can order banquet style to sample as many dishes as you can! Some of the best dishes we’ve had include the Butter Oat Prawns, Assam Fish Head Curry and a very rare Sotong Kangkung!

Wow... Omg... The food here is incredible and amazing price for portions. The food is so authentic and fresh. Will be coming more often!

This is an terrific restaurant with great staff and fast service. The food is delicious; a combination of Chinese Malaysian. Parking in front or on the main road.

If only I can give 10 Stars for this place! Service is top notch, very clean place and nice ambience. I've tried a quite a few dishes here and nothing disappoint. The chef got the perfect wok hei. It means they've mastered the control of heat to give the dish that characteristic favour in Chinese cooking. They used quality fresh ingredients and still managed to charge very reasonable prices.

Good food and excellent service. Good place to have great food with your friends.. The staffs are really friendly. Their new spicy squid speciality is really great for those who like a spicy kick..

Trust me, it’s the best Malaysian Chinese Food in Brisbane. Fair Price and Excellent service make you feel like back to hometown.

Having returned from Penang, the food capital of Malaysia, we were so missing eating there. Well, we found this place on Google Maps and - WOW! Do yourself a favour. Get a big group of people here, all order something different, and share. Because it’s all so good.

I visited on Wednesday 8/11/23 lunchtime and ordered Roti and Chicken Curry. The Roti came oily, the curry was tasty but bony and pieces were not choice meat.
I also ordered Fried Kway Teaow to take away for my wife. Her appraisal was that she had tasted much better Malaysian - the portion was quite meagre too, and so it was binned.
This experience was so against all the rave reviews this eatery has been awarded has made me wonder whether I should visit another time!

Ordered Sunday night and it was delicious!!
quick phone order and collected within 15min! Tried a few places in the area and this is now in our top 3.
Lovely special fried rice, chicken corn soup, satay beef and the best honey chicken anywhere
