One of Cairns most loved locals coffee spots, always busy with the various crowds. In the mornings it’s the joggers, workers and walkers, then the families with kids and always the tourists. Awesome location in the middle of the esplanade right on the water front. Great for people with kids as it’s the in the middle of Cairns biggest playground, more like a small theme park. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, an extensive menu, for both adults and kids and heaps of drink options.

Great cafe that served as our breakfast restaurant as our nearby hotel didn't breakfast on premises.
A very welcoming and attentive staff that quickly served our breakfast (we were a group of 25 people) and looked after all our needs.
Great location, lots of seating and fast and efficient service. Well attended cafe by the locals, and I'll surely bring in my next group of people.

We arrived Thursday evening in Cairns, Friday we visited Muddy’s Cafe for the first time for breakfast … we have been back every day following. Today Sunday 27 Aug, we had lunch for the last time as we fly out early tomorrow morning. We had breakfast, lunch and dinners the past four days - absolutely fantastic.
If you have a chance to visit, do so you won’t regret it.
Yes there are waiting times as it’s always busy but they tell you on forehand how long but you get your food always quicker then they say - be patience it’s worth it.
Staff is very friendly and helpful, you only have to ask.
We will be back on our next visit to Cairns.

Vibrant cafe on the waterfront right next to a park. Great to bring children and have a quick meal. We ordered three big brekkie meals and a burger + potato gems for four people for breakfast. We also ordered an ice coffee, a smoothie, and two coffees and the drinks came out AFTER the breakfast which took a while.

When it did arrive, the food (and drinks) were great and all three of us loved the Big Brekkies and my smoothie was fantastic!

It's an open-air cafe with a great view. It is very crowded and lively, but it is a comfortable place. The portion of one dish is big, so it's hard to eat all of it. It might be better to share with the people who are with you. Water is free and self-service. I loved the paper cup design.

Went at 6am for a walk with the kids along Cairns Elspnaed and bump into the best playground the as we were walking through the masive playground we came across Muddys coffee shop and guess whT it was open and very busy already have a avo. Smash kids had fesh greak jogurt with fresh fruit soooo good the options for a freshly squeeze juice are endless!!!

The FOOD IS AWESOME. The waffles taste great!! One of the best brunch spots 🌸 I would love to come back for more delicious dishes. Plus, Staff Petey is the best; he helped us so much!! ❤❤✨

Great menu and juice bar, coffee, four big playground areas for variety of ages and two water parks and a full uninterrupted views of Cairns harbour. Best spot in Cairns!

Missy’s is an underrated gem as far as I know. This place is right on the shoreline with a gorgeous view all round, perfect for every occasion. Really can not say anything better about the location. It’s perfect.

The food is also exceptional and if you think you’ll be leaving here hungry you’re wrong. We went for breakfast and every meal that came out was huge! The waffles were enjoyed by the kids while everyone else went for slightly different options. No matter what we got though it hit the mark. The granola bowl was well sized and super yummy, the eggs perfectly cooked, hash browns nailed, and every single meal just got better. Not to mention the drinks which are so good. The fruit juice is perfectly refreshing and the shakes are just as good. The staff are friendly and so helpful which only adds to the experience.

There’s also the coolest little playground for the littlest ones making this the best stop for any meal in cairns. Can not recommend enough!

We had the pleasure of eating here for breakfast and or lunch over the 10 days we were in Cairns on retreat at a local hotel. Food was incredible, speedy service despite always being busy, and the loveliest staff. Highly recommend a visit and especially the Granola bowl. I'll start with a summary: there is simply nothing to not love about Muddy's.

I stayed in Cairns for about a week for work (and you couldn't ask for a nicer place in the world for your job to send you on travel!), and after discovering Muddy's we ended up going for breakfast almost every day.

The location is picture perfect - set among some beautiful lush green trees with an adjacent playground for the kids to enjoy, right along the boardwalk and water. You can just sit and relax while staring out at the sea and taking in all the beauty that is Cairns. There's plenty of indoor and shaded outdoor seating, although because of the popularity sometimes you may need to wait a few minutes for a table.

The food is excellent, and you essentially just can't go wrong with anything here. The thick milkshakes (thickshakes) are outstanding - among the best vanilla shakes I've ever had. The sourdough toast is heavenly, especially loaded up with butter and strawberry jam. The chai lattes are excellent, and the açai bowl is outstanding (with fresh fruit and optional peanut butter and yogurt). The smoothies and juice drinks are to die for, made fresh to order. It's almost worth traveling to Cairns just for a Muddy's smoothie!

The service is equally wonderful, with staff bringing food to your table after you order either online via QR code at your table or in person at the register. Food is brought out as it's ready, so you will likely get different parts of your order at different times, and similarly food for different people in your group will likely come out at different times. The staff are super friendly, and on the rare occasion when a mistake was made they were more than happy to fix it.

There's a reason Muddy's is always so busy - it's a true gem among many great restaurants in town. If you're here looking for a great place for breakfast, a cafe to relax and get a coffee, or desire an afternoon treat, Muddy's is where you want to be!

Where to begin.....This place is AMAZING.
It's a perfect visit for anyone, but especially if you have kiddies, very FAMILY FRIENDLY. The location is devine with beautiful ocean views. The food is lovely we dined here for breakfast and dinner, and both meals were exceptional. Staff are so welcoming and helpful. The meals are a great size and all reasonably priced. A wonderful playspace for little toddlers on one side of the cafe and a bigger playground on the other side. The waterpark was a huge hit with all the kids. A truly special place. If you're a first timer to Cairns or just a local, then Muddy's Cafe is a MUST! A great selection of food and drinks and their open from 6.00am to 7.30pm 7 days a week. Great sea views and the food was tasty, juicy, and delicious and generous in size and very reasonably priced. The fish and chips and salad were fresh and crispy and served quickly. Staff were friendly and professional too, restaurant was very clean and the outdoor wooden tables and chairs just add to the overall Cairns vibe - laid back 🤟 And don't forget they deliver and do takeaway! Very Highly recommended 👏👍😊
