The Gate Cafe - Willow Tree

Service with a smile. Really lovely, tasty fresh breakfast...could not fault. Coffee was good too and nice to have great customer service. New owners are very friendly and accommodating, only need to ask if you prefer your sauce on the side. Great value for money. Highly recommend.

Meals were delicious! We had the bacon & eggs, and the eggs Benedict. Great sized portions, hollandaise sauce is amazing! My coffee drinker husband loved their coffee blend. Staff are very friendly and the cafe is spotlessly clean.

Ordered a steak sandwich. 💯. Absolutely delicious. The steak was so tender and broke off with every bite (not chewy). Also ordered a toastie that was not on the menu but they were happy to make.
Sign says “new owners”. Well I hope they stay.
No toilet available but public toilets and portable loos next door.

Stopped for lunch. Greeted with a smiling face of a little chap, owners son. Had the best coffee and a perfectly cooked steak sandwich with generous size serving of chips. The cafe was busy but we were served rather promptly. The only issue is is with their toilets being closed and was told it is a council issue, felt for the owner has she was explaining how it is effecting them and their community. Will be back on our travels through willow tree.

Had brunch there yesterday 17/2/24. Ordered 3 eggs Benedict. Absolutely beautiful! Servings were well presented and perfect. Service was great. Thank you!!

My daughter and I had an early lunch at The Gate Cafe today. Amazing food and huge servings so value for money. The best coffee and milk shakes. A credit to the new owners

I noticed new owners, and just I had the best coffee I have had in years. The cake range was absolutely magnificent and delicious. The service was out of this world. I came away thinking I would drive from home near Gunnedah just to have a taste of the best food in the district with the most beautiful people. Congratulations, Kathleen, on your new venture.

I almost forgot to take a photo, I start to push down on my Burger due to the height of it. Big burger 🍔 very tasty 😋 I normal go to another place in Willow Tree thought it was time to share the love 💗 it’s worth a stop to eat here, friendly and happy 😊 I also like being away from the road while I ate. 🌻

Enjoyable breakfast, staff lovely. Young girl made a beautiful prefect smiley face on my latte. Good to see the Chrissie has taken a holiday though did miss her smiley face. Rather miss my chats with Chrissie now she has sold out.

Clean place with friendly staff and good quality coffee.

So glad we stopped here instead of maccas.

The salad side dish was so fresh and so were the ones in the works burger. All in all, tasted of great quality.

Also a park and playground next to it to stretch the kids out whilst enjoying a meal in peace.

Bookmarked as a future stopover/waypoint when travelling between states.

Stopped in Willow Tree for lunch. Ended up trying the Gate Cafe. Extremely clean, well presented and wonderful staff. All complimented by a great meal. If you’re a traveller looking for a place to stop near or at Willow Tree, highly recommend The Gate Cafe.

Stopped in to pay for our overnight spot in our camper. Got a bacon and egg roll with coffee. Coffe was awesome and they had gluten free buns for the bacon and egg roll. Usually when travelling I can have anything as options are limited. I was so happy to have this and it was huge and delicious.

Deluxe egg and bacon rolls coffee and milkshake. Absolutely perfect with a beautiful spot in the sun to enjoy it.
