Brother Jenkins Cafe

Lovely quirky cafe on the corner, with fresh juices and groovy tunes. Serving a deliciously smooth blend of coffee with seriously silky almond milk. Menu also looked amazing!

Great vibe and good food options.

- the bread was a little bit tough. It was still yummy though.

What a great hidden gem this cafe is!!

On a regular street corner a few streets back from the coast, I came across this little cafe. To be honest I only went there because it was one of the few that I could find open on a Sunday morning, but I'm very glad I did!

When you walk in you are presented with an inviting and quite open space. The tables are not crowded together, and there are enough choices or 2, 4 and larger seated tables inside. A glance to the right allows you to see the shaded outside area, which has been furnished with the same style of space and simplicity. I chose a 2 seater table near a window that looked out onto the outside seating.

The young lady who greeted me near the door directed me to any free table, and was quick in getting a menu and a bottle of chilled water to me. It didn't take me long to find what I wanted: Pancakes with homemade cherry jam!

The coffee I ordered came out within five minutes, and was well presented and delicious. The pancakes followed, and were greeted with a "Wow" from me...they were amazingly delicious and very filling. I tried but I just couldn't finish that last bite.

As I ate I looked around at the other customers, and all seemed to be enjoying the food and interacting easily with the joyful staff...it appears that this is a popular place with the locals.

Needless to say, I can recommend Brother Jenkins for just a coffee or a full breakfast or lunch. Well done and thanks to all the staff 😊

This place always delivers! Easy to find, plenty of parking. Cozy little spot away from the cbd traffic. Space for individuals up to groups. It’s easy to unwind here and forget you have to leave eventually. Chill vibe. Service is helpful and prompt. Menu has options for all needs. The coffee really hits the spot and helps make life better. I choose Brother Jenkins when I want house made hollandaise and perfect eggs each time*****

The staff are so wonderful. The customer service is 11/10! My family and I love the food and the atmosphere. We love how we can pay using crypto or cash.

A cute, quirky and passionate cafe in the ‘burbs of Cairns. Most city dwellers will be surprised with the excellent range of food, especially vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. We had the chilled tomato soup with chorizo and fried butter beans and it was delicious! There’s lots of innovation on the menu and stuff you just don’t find elsewhere. The surroundings feel homely, like you’re in someone’s garden.

Just tried the new lemon curd 🍋 and whipped ricotta pancakes 🤤 they were soooooooo deliciously light and flavoursome! My oat milk coffee swiftly came out and was lush. Will definitely be back. 😊

I don't normally rate 5star for a restaurant because I'm sooooo picky about food, can't believe I found the best breakfast in Cairns in this location, running eggs, plenty of Benedict sauce, plenty of spinach & salmon on my dish :) way way way better than most 5star hotel breakfast in anywhere, no offence 5star hotel not bad but here you can just relax. Breads are crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside, what a perfect day to sit outdoor and enjoy the sunshine, wall art is nice too :)

I kept driving past this great looking little cafe and promising that I would get a coffee there someday! After several years, today was that day! I wish I had stopped sooner. Delicious long black (with a splash), my wife really enjoyed her cappuccino, and the Banana and Walnut bread was amazing. A great atmosphere with lovely staff. I will be going back sooner rather than later. 😁

We LOVE Brother Jenkins! For breakfast or lunch. Great chai. Great coffee. Great food! Staff are really friendly. Lovely outdoor courtyard. Highly recommended.

Lovely staff - nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast salad was fantastic. Very good coffee. Dog-friendly outside area.

Have driven past here a few times over the past 6 months (new to Cairns) and only recently arranged to meet family there for brunch after reading all the very positive reviews.

The food was excellent. As was the service.

You can sit inside or outside amongst the trees. Inside was a tad hot as the fans were barely moving but relocating outside provided a nice breeze.

I don't drink coffee but it was good apparently.

The only criticism I have is the teapot I was given had a faulty lid.
It fell off (wasn't attached) and landed on my bare thigh. It was very hot being stainless. I don't know why restaurants use these stupid things. Certainly shouldn't be using them if this can happen.

Overall though, it's a lovely place with a nice atmosphere. We will be back.

I came here to meet an amazing person one day, the coffee was excellent and now I drive past on the way home just to get coffee almost every day! Addicted to coffee again, Thanks guys! 😂

Just wanted coffee and something sweet. I got a "friand" which is a small orange-almond cake, very moist and very delicious. It was perfect.
