A very popular Malaysian food joint in Doncaster. The interior is a lot more "modern" than other Malaysian eateries in the area.

Even though the eatery closes at 2.30pm, there was still a line at 1pm. Luckily the wait was under 10 mins and we were able to get a table + a pram space. The services were prompt & quick.

We ordered Char Kway Teow, non-spicy Char Tang Hoon, chicken Loh Bak and Sambal Belachan Fried rice today.

While they were good, but to me they weren't anything special. The Loh Bak was the only highlight for me. The sambal fried rice was too chilli for our liking too.

Edit: 2nd visit loving the Asam laksa & fish head soup!

3rd visit: amazing curry puffs, meegoreng ok. Wasn't a fan of the satay chicken

Excellent service, even more perfect food and great spacious restaurant.

The moment you walk in you can smell that wok taste in the air. That's when you know you've walked into an authentic restaurant!

All the dishes came in big portions and perfect score taste for my dishes.

Excited to try our the rest of the menu. We'll done!

This was a special find. Food at Penang Flavours was delicious! The only reason that it got 4 instead of 5 was my personal preference of the sides to the Nasi Lemak. We got a Nasi Lemak with beef Rangdeng and a vegetarian Char koay teow and it came out within 5 minutes! And yummy yum yum. Definitely will be coming back again.

Char Koay Teow is really in line with my taste cooking with chai veggies. The Loh Bak is best of the best, it’s not mince meat.

Char tang hoon is good and tasty. First time here. Very busy during dinner time. I will eat here again when in the area. Parking can be challenging.

Fish head noodle is superb, separate tasty noodle soup with the huge portion of fried rockling fish head & flesh at $20+, free parking, friendly server, nice ambience. Love the glass noodle . Worth to visit for your daily craving for Malaysian Penang food ❤

Very authentic Malaysian fare with a wide variety of standard dishes that meet the expectations. Notable dishes are the Asam Laksa, Wat Tan Noodles, and Chow Kueh Teow. Didn't have a chance to taste the dessert, but they were tempting.

The Best Prawn Noodles and Lobak I’ve had in Melbourne! The Prawn noodles broth is so flavourful and tasty. Not overpowering neither is it diluted. Just the right umami for a perfect bowl of prawn noodles soup. Good amount of ingredients. All the servers and counter staffs are polite and friendly. Especially a middle-aged woman server who is always busy but smiling and making sure everyone’s needs are met. Queue could be very long on weekends so make sure to be there early. Will definitely be back to try the other dishes that others have ordered and looked so delicious too.

Fast and friendly service, food came out almost too quick! Bit of a wait on a Friday night but they turnover the tables pretty quickly. Food flavour was great and portion sizes were very decent. Would recommend!

Very nice food experience. Authentic Malaysian cuisine, place was packed when I visited, got the table seating in less than 15 min. Great service by the team. Food was delicious, so many items in the menu. Will come again another time to try more dishes. Reasonably priced , quantity is quite large.

Highly recommended.

Good Malaysian food with nice service. They have a great selection of Malaysian kuehs at the order counter.

We ordered:
🐟 fish head noodle soup, deep fried fish head came separately to keep the fish crispy, soup was milky. We thought it could be more sour if they added some preserved mustard vegetables. Still good.
🍜char tang hoon was the highlight for me, I actually came to taste this, and it was great. My parents thought it could more wok hei but it was to my taste nonetheless
🍗 butter chicken chop with rice had an unexpected taste for me. I was hoping for something buttery and creamy, it was creamy but no buttery taste. It was cooked differently with curry leaves, spices, onions and a bit of diced tomatoes. A bit spicy (I can’t take chilli) so it wasn’t for me. Chicken was crispy though.

My dad says authentic so I guess thats what it is. Portions are great and so much flavour. Their price is good, hopefully they will kept that way unlike the other Malaysian restaurants in the area. Just becareful for Ur weak guai lo friends, mild spice is medium to hot... Recommend just getting their sambal on the side.
Auntys there are so friendly and prompt service, no need to wait for long for food to arrive all at once.

I frequent Malaysian restaurants very often, and being my first time here, experienced the best service I have seen in a very long time. The ladies very all very friendly and helpful. They took time to help discuss menu items.

I really enjoyed the Sar Hor Fun.. it could've done with a little more wok hey but it had great flavour and good amount of varied protein..

All in all, looking forward to my next week.

Parking in Saturday evening was a little tough.. I had to park down a side street but was easy enough..
Order and pay at counter place.

In my view one of the best Malaysian restaurants in the Doncaster area
Had lunch there and almost every table had a plate of Char Kway Teow, on it. I ordered one too and was not disappointed 👍👍👍
worth a visit or 2 …. or 3
can be crowded on weekends
