Horrendous customer service. They had something "incorrectly priced" and refused to honour the price on the sticker. Lady was argumentative and even tried to accuse us of switching the price tag.

Went it to buy a cowboy hat for my daughters dress up day, it was labelled $4, when I got to the cash register the woman ripped off the $4 tag and said it’s $10. She refused to honour the price that was on there as it was “too cheap”. She was so so rude. Never going back!

Very expensive shop.
I bought a travel power plug for $9.99 for Doncaseter Shopping Town $2 shop,
Same product was $6 in The Pines $2 Shop and $6.5 in bunnings.
Same applies to other items.
Think twice before buy anything from this shop.

***I highly recommend people not to shop here. Unless you would like to get verbally violated and abused for asking your right.***

I have purchased a glass jar from “The $2 Shop Doncaster” in Doncaster Westfield today. And not long after, I realised that the rubber gasket was not in good condition. It was folded up and damaged to not function as a sealer. And there was dead insects in it.
So I returned to ask for a refund. At this point I was well aware of their no 'change of mind' refund policy. But this is faulty item, I was sure I have the right to ask for a refund.
When I returned for a refund, the register staff refused to give a refund and told me to get an exchange of same item. But there were none of this jar in good condition.
When I pointed this out, the staff told me that they never had any complaint on this product and that it is my fault that I did not pay attention to what I bought, so they could not give refund on this. Even when all items on shelf are in same bad condition.
I tried to explain my point on this situation and one other staff walked up, then two staffs started yelling at me.
I continued trying to explain, and they were yelling back cutting me while explaining. Which I found very disrespectful and inappropriate.
And the most crucial part that happened next, to bring me to write this complaint, is that one of the two staffs yelled at me "Shut up. You change your mind, no refund." I simply attempted to explain why the item is faulty as it is my right to request refund on faulty item. Not even once I have raised my voice from the beginning of the situation.
Because two staffs were yelling at me constantly to cut me while talking, and especially that "Shut up", I felt very unsafe and uncomfortable about the situation.
Yet I still tried to ask, if I could exchange to a different product if there is any good.
While I looked through for something else, one of them two came up and told me that anything I break, I have to pay.
I did not have a single intention to cause damage to their property.
I'm sure that it was not neccessary of her to provide such service.
Soon after this, I left the shop with the faulty jar.
I felt extremely violated and upset after the service they had provided.
They treat their customers in such way to save just less than $10.
I highly recommend people not to shop here. Unless you would like to get verbally violated and abused for asking your right.

Plus, the staff was already rude enough to begin with. I asked if they could provide a plastic bag when I bought the jar initially. The register staff snapped back, “No plastic bag.”
I mean, it is not absolutely neccessary but it is correct customer service to respond in appropriate manner.

Dodgy returns policy.
I purchased a pair of reading glasses from this shop, and realised when I got home that they were missing the nose pads. I returned to the store with my receipt to ask for an exchange if they had the same style, which they didn't, so I asked for a refund as the glasses were faulty. I was told no, I could only exchange, even though the product was clearly defective and not fit for purpose. Unacceptable, and I will not shop here again.
