Samphire

We ate twice here and really enjoyed most of the dishes. Both our steaks (wagyu M9 and M3) had a delicious smokey char on it, and served with a lovely jus. The exotic mushroom started with miso was addictive and vegan zucchini flower stuffed when silken tofu was a winner. You do need to order sides with the mains but they are all generously portioned. A good range of options for the kids menu as well, and at $20 for a large main, lovely dessert and drink it was a steal. We also had Xmas dinner here and did not expect such a large portion of rosbiff for our mains. Starters weren’t terribly exciting but understandable considering the volume of guests. Will definitely return again!

Almost as good as any fine dining experience we’ve had. Every selection was perfect, the staff and service, location couldn’t have been any better! Can’t understand why there isn’t a lot more reviews but if you’re reading mine believe me if you’re staying at RACV Cape Shanak you don’t need to look any future for a fabulous place to dine.

I wish this restaurant had more reviews as it was absolutely delicious! Must try if you’re staying in RACV. Everything we tried tasted really delicious and we had the most lovely waiter arriving us too.

If you are staying at the RACV Cape schanck resort, this is an excellent dining option to effortlessly pop down to. Sophisticated cooking with quality ingredients, subtle flavouring that appeals to a wide range of palettes. We tried the kingfish hamachi that was ever so delicately seasoned with soy and avocado. The mushroom risotto was delicious paired with a local Kerri Greens Foothills pinot noir.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience, with the food being exceptionally well-prepared and beautifully presented. Our waiter, Aaron, was a knowledgeable and charming individual who provided us with excellent recommendations that catered to our specific requirements.

Beautiful meal, amazing atmosphere and outstanding service in the Samphire restaurant. Waitress Tanya was a pleasure to deal with and treated us amazingly thorough out the entire night. She was so friendly, attentive and overly helpful. We had a very relaxing and gorgeous meal and will definitely be returning.

Staff were attentive, friendly and can take a joke. Food and wine was also delicious. Not sure why their rating is so low, but their star rating should easily be above 4.6.

Amazing food and outstanding customer service! We attended for dinner and have to mention Aaron especially for being one of the best servers we’ve ever had - 100% customer focussed and just so friendly. Food was delicious, the steak was cooked to perfection! Would happily return!

Pretty standard hotel food. Nothing outstanding but still palatable.

Very expensive for small serving sizes that weren't overly tasty. Our waiter also didn't seem able to answer any questions about the menu. Probably would be back.

Lovely environment but the food was average especially when we found a piece of plastic in our meal.
We ordered 3 mains; a pasta, duck and lamb rack.
The pasta came first and it was disturbingly salty which we told the waiter and mentioned maybe it would be less salty on some bread. So he sent bread to our table. Upon eating the meat from the pasta on the bread - I bit into a piece of plastic that was 3cm long and 0.5cm wide and I called the same waiter over to let him know to weary of this so other customers don’t have the same thing happening to them.
We left after barely eating our $46 pasta and the waiter stopped us saying “please wait as I would like to give you a discount for what happened.”
The discount he gave us was $4.88 for the Pepsi we ordered…. and he even charged us for the bread. The bill total was over $150 for a very average meal. I recommend going somewhere else if you’re thinking of eating here.

If you want to call this a MS9+ steak that’s medium well, then head over to samphire to waste $95 on dinner .. honestly better off having your steak at the local pub

Went to the restaurant on 23.12 and ordered a pasta however it came with a piece plastic inside of it. We notified the waiter and he gave us free Pepsi drink as an apology and he couldn’t care less. STAY AWAY
