Hope Baptist Church

A church where you hear what you need to hear rather than just what sounds nice but does nothing for your spirit. This church is a true rarity, I am blessed to be in this part of the world where this church exists. If you’re looking for a church that preaches the Gospel boldly and unwaveringly, this is the place to be.

Hope Baptist Church Sunbury is such a wonderful church. The people are such caring and loving people, who's desire is to continually understand the will of God through his word, to nurture and see God's children grow in the knowledge of his word and, of course, see people saved who don't know Jesus!

I am truly blessed that God led me to such an amazing church. As I have stepped forward in faith, trusting that God will help build my spiritual walk and my relationship with him, he has answered my prayers by bringing me to Hope Baptist Church Sunbury.

I have visited many other churches over my life as a Christian and struggle to find another church that can continually spirituality feed me as Hope Baptist does. The teaching is second to none! If you are dead set on building a stronger relationship with Jesus and committed to a much deeper understanding of God's word, you have come to the right place.

You are not likely to find such biblical teaching like this in all of the Western suburbs. I have been a Christian for 20+ years and have found a new lease of life towards understanding deep biblical doctrines, as my eyes are opened afresh each Sunday from the scriptures that are broken down and explained in such an easy and digestible way.

I find the on-line recorded sermons a valuable tool in helping me better understand the biblical text in a more clear and concise way. On occasions I have found myself revisiting a particular sermon at home or in the car a second and third time to pick up on any blessings I may have missed during the church service. Also a great way to refuel the soul if for any reason you couldn't make it to church one Sunday.

As the sermons expound and reflect upon the different books of the Bible, many treasures are brought to light. Each sermon is packed full of so many biblical truths, that expand your understanding and knowledge of the Bible. These can easily be missed or skimmed over when just reading the biblical text by yourself at home. This is why finding a church that teaches accurate doctrine so incredibly important in ones walk with God as you read and study the scriptures.

These sermons aren't designed to puff you up, make you 'feel good' or be some motivational seminar as many modern church seem to focus around these days. Pastor Edi delivers each sermon in such a way as to bring you closer to God. By giving you a better understanding of God's word, which will in turn help strengthen your relationship with your Lord and help you to clearly hear God's voice through his word and therefore his will for your life.

Don't take my word for it, see for yourself. If you wish to be blessed right now, stop what you're doing and stream one of the many YouTube sermons Ps Edi has to offer. There are many series on any book of the Bible you might be interested in or wish to understand better. There isn't one sermon I haven't heard that I hadn't learnt something new. No matter how many times you read the Bible, God's word is so rich and concentrated that God always has something new and exciting to tell you.

If you're trying to escape the modern church with its rock concert format that's designed to put the focus on YOU and how it makes YOU feel, instead of focusing on God, then Hope Baptist Church Sunbury may just be for you. Where God's word is always front and centre. Where you can build better relationships with God and his people.

I have no issues in recommending this church to you, the pastor preaches the traditional gospel and has a very good knowledge of the gospel and is passionate about passing this knowledge on. The sermon was engaging and informative. Well done.
