This Jungle Escapes tour was absolutely amazing and a must if you enjoy wildlife and nature. A big thank you to Ian for getting me situated - I had a hiccup with my reservation the first night but he allowed me to move it to the following night. The night of the tour itself was so incredible. Up in Cape Trib for a week, I had gone on quite a few “night walks” myself on the Dubuji boardwalk. This experience was unparalleled though - exclusive access in unlogged rainforest… during the rain. Nat (I believe that was her name?) was our tour guide and she was super informative and was able to spot all sorts of plants and critters and tell us about them. We saw snails, stick bugs, crickets with MASSIVE antennae, heaps of spiders, bioluminescent fungi… but the highlight of the night for me was seeing not one, but TWO Boyd’s forest dragons. I was very pleased by the tour’s approach to the wildlife. They asked us not to shine our lights at them due to them sleeping at night and their sensitive eyes. I don’t think a lot of tours would have that same respect for wildlife. To add to the ambience of the tour… 1/3 of the way through, a deluge of rain began. But hey - that’s the rainforest. Huge thank you to the Jungle Escapes team for making my last night in Cape Tribulation so wonderful!

What a pleasure it was to explore a pocket of this sacred rainforest. Ian is incredibly well versed in the flora and fauna, engaging and aware of the needs and experience of all tour guests, and generally a crack up. Really enjoyed having a yarn with him about rare plants.
Eco tourism attractions such as this are a lovely way to do your bit and help save the Daintree; your ticket helps purchase the lot of land on which you walk, observe and learn to stop further development in the area, and allow others to enjoy it for years to come.
I’ll definitely be visiting for a wander again next time I’m up north. 🫶🏼🌿

Took part in the 7.30-9.30 night walk. Had a wonderful time walking through the rainforest in the darkness (with some torch light). This walk offers a great opportunity to take a closer look into the wilderness and have closer connections with this ancient forest. Our walk guide Ian is very knowledgeable, deeply passionate about the flora and fauna in this natural environment, very considerate and has a great laidback sense of humour.

This walk was one of the highlights of our trip. Ian is extremely knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the animals, plants, fungi, and ecosystem of the forest as a whole. Highly recommended.

Was in the Daintree last week, and , my 6 year old boy to the night walk. My son Ethan is not like other kids, toys do not excite him, he is especially into all the bugs and critters that the forest has to provide, so needless to say, he had a blast.
Kane our guide was very knowledgeable and had a genuine motivation and love for all animals and was very nice to answer all of Ethan's questions.
We are back in Melbourne now, and this morning Ethan said to me, "Daddy, next year can we come back to Cape Trib, and stay for 2 weeks? I want to do the jungle walk with Kane for all of the 14 nights". :)

We joined the 6:00 - 7:30pm night walk. Had a fantastic time being guided through the darkness of the rainforest by Ian’s knowledge and keen eye with spotting creatures we’d have otherwise missed! Would recommend the tour to anyone visiting the area, it’s a fantastic way of experiencing the Daintree and it’s inhabitants.
Do be sure to wear enclosed shoes!

Thanks very much for the 2hour night walk when i was the only one. I was very lucky. The ghost bat. bee eater bird. Pademelons with joey in pouch. Frogs. Insects. Scorpion. Lizards. And something large in the bushes at the end.. maybe a pig.
Pity it's so dry or we might have seen a tree kangaroo or some snakes. That would have been excellent. Hopefully next time.
Good luck with Buying back the rainforest and spreading the word . Thank you Ian 😊 Nature is amazing we need to protect our environment.

Knowledgeable guide, a peaceful walk through the Daintree in a small party at night. Loved the atmosphere. We saw mainly insects, frogs and a couple of birds. Great that we all got our own spotlight torch to try seek them out (albeit with varied experiences and success). Glad the tickets help conservation efforts.

We had an incredible experience on Ian’s night walk. Ian, our guide, was VERY knowledgeable and showed us the magic of the rainforest.
We visited on a rainy night, but that didn’t matter because umbrellas and ponchos were offered.
He pointed out a snake in the first 2 minutes and we saw a huge range of other animals, bugs and (bioluminescent) fungi.
This experience is a MUST for anyone visiting the Daintree Rainforest — 10/10!

A truly magical evening exploring the Daintree rainforest at night. We were lucky enough to see a python in the first 5 minutes of the tour, and to see the fungus spores spawning despite the dry weather condition.
Knowing that the majority of the price you pay for the tickets goes towards ongoing conservation efforts in Cape Tribulation makes supporting the night tours an important factor in our choice to go on this tour.

Went on a two hour night tour. It was magical soaking up the rainforest sounds, smells and sights at night. Saw forest dragons, snakes, and spiders. Great emphasis on ecology and an obvious passion for the area.
