Groovy Groper

Bargain lunch, I got the value pack with Calamari, Cod bites and chips. The chips were perfect fish shop chips, the calamari was tender and it all seemed fresh and a little lovely lady serving. Very quick and amazing value for money

The Groovy Groper is the best place on the Peninsula for Fish and Chips, Hamburgers, hand made meat patty whether they be meat, chicken, or fish and serve the best chips ever. The food is cooked to your liking by Daphne,😀 the most pleasant owner of any store I have ever been to, she will ask you any special requirements and make it especially for you. The store is spotless clean and has outdoor tables and chairs for you to dine and look over towards the. beautiful ocean front views. Great prices and spectacular fresh cooked food, you can't ask for anything better. Has a good selection of other fish and chip store items and also a good selection of cold drinks.

First time here, the lady serving was very nice and efficient, the chips were some of the best I’ve had, and the nuggets were beautiful, the fish was mouthwatering. Would definitely recommend

Fantastic fish and chips…..these guys do a great job.
Lovely thin coating of crumbs on a decent size portion of fish cooked to perfection. Chips were fresh, golden and crunchy on the outside. Throughly enjoyed it….. definitely this will be our regular now.. Thanks guys. 👍🏽😊

Excellent local fish and chip shop, been many times and always consistent. Fish is always cooked well and chips super crunchy. Best potato scallops I've tried and spring rolls and dag wood dogs yummy. Orders quickly cooked and owners friendly.

Had a huge order for 8 people, rang it through, it was ready as predicted. Steak burger and hamburger were amazing, chips were devine, calamari were superb, and the grilled salmon was to die for!! Everything was cooked to perfection - we will be back!

Newly discovered most favorite, customer friendly, fish and chips. Everything we've had here is perfectly cooked, including the tender calamari and crispy ended spring rolls. We'll be back for our next visit very soon!

We visited on a public holiday and there was a wait of 45 minutes, however, the food was cooked perfectly and definitely worth the wait. The prices aren't bad either.

Excellent fish done in batter that is very similar to NZ. Chips are excellent too. Well worth the travel to get there.

Hamburger was AMAZING, Cod and chips, pineapple fritter, all cooked perfectly. HIGHLY recommend. Will definitely be back.
