Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort

Checking in was easy. Beautiful view of lagoon from room. Short walk to beach. pool was lovely, plenty of room and good access in and out of pool.
Great at lake with comfy bean bags to sit in or pool lounges. Don’t forget the Buffet Breakfast it is the best.

My husband and I recently spent our Honeymoon (10 days) at this resort.

We stayed in a lagoon view room (upgrade) which appears to have been recently renovated.

Overall the room was quite nice. It could do with some drawers by the bedside & bathroom for storage but we made do with the shelves in the cupboard.

The room service was very hit and miss. Often dirty cups / glasses were left in the room, tea bags & milk not replinished and overall the "clean" was a bit rough. Reception did sort the teabags etc however.

The resort itself was great. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the restaurant staff whom we got to know quite well after 10 days, they really couldn't do enough for us.
The buffet breakfast was great, the food was great, high quailty & reasonably priced.

The restaurant desperately needs air-conditioning however, it was hot and stuffy as heck in there and despite having fans, it's not overly pleasant having a fan directly above you making your toast & coffee cold or you croissant blow all over you while you try to eat it. If you sit away from the fans you break a sweat eating breakfast.

I feel for the staff that have to work in a super hot / stuffy environment with no a/c surely that could be sorted.

Aside from that the beach access is super close, very private and patrolled.

We had a very enjoyable stay and will definitely be back, hopefully with a/c with the restaurant next time.

We are young family travelling from Sydney and staying 2 nights. We love the atmosphere around the hotel especially warm welcome from kangaroos in front of our room door. Breakfast is the best, variety of foods. We spent the time at the pool and jacuzzi, it completely perfect for the summer time. I absolutely love your amenities shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion products, smell so great!
Highly recommend to staying at Novotel during trip in Sunshine Coast.

We had a wonderful time! A little bit of paradise, a bit further out from the towns made it feel really secluded. Rooms a little outdated but still very nice! The pool was wonderful and plenty of activities for kids

A beautiful location with lots of nature and space to relax. It is a few moments from the ocean. Worth noting that the gym was particularly well equipped which is appreciated. Check-in took a long time. I arrived near midday and it would have been great to have a room available before 2pm given the scale of the place and how it didn't seem to be too busy. The staff were kind, particularly at the bar/restaurant and at breakfast. Breakfast itself was lovely with variety, including fresh honey. Overall a pretty special stay.

Very impressed upon arrival with the gorgeous outdoor fountain features leading us into the magnificent foyer. Stunning views all the way to the pool, bar and lagoon beyond..
Our over water bungalow was just beautiful. Quirky design and layout with lovely neutral decor and incredible views of the resort and lagoon.
So much to do, excellent food, drinks and service all round.. Absolutely loved every minute of our stay..

This was our eleventh stay at the resort. Each time we go we are delighted by the staff and the service that is provided. This stay we unfortunately had a room next to another with a very bad water hammer. When we reported it to reception they immediately found us another room AND offered us assistance with the move. They also had someone attend the new room straight away to split the bed into twin beds for us.
The rooms may not be flash and modem but they are comfortable, spacious and clean (housekeeping team are fabulous).
The resort itself is in a fantastic location and is surrounded by beautiful gardens that are well maintained. The path that winds around the lagoon makes for great walks enjoying the scenery and wildlife which hosts dozens of wild kangaroos. The pool area and lagoon are fabulous, Wether you are wanting to relax, partake in one of the activities or just wanting some quality family time for young and old it’s the perfect space.
We love spending time at the bar with a couple of drinks in the afternoons and in the mornings grabbing coffee or a smoothy from the deli cafe, sitting overlooking the pool and lagoon.
We are already planning our next stay, so you could say that we love the place and would highly recommend trying it out too.

I took my family on a trip to the Sunshine Coast and booked the hotel based on my husband's suggestion. It turned out great! The hotel is nestled in a secluded area, open and beautiful lobby with different facilities available. Restaurant, bar, deli, game room, and an activities shed! We are very happy to learn that the equipment for the activities are complimentary and took on a Catamaran ride which everyone enjoyed. The rooms are of decent size. Originally we were unsure whether we would have a good sleep due to two wedding events but was able to due to the nice live music that they were playing. Overall, we all had a great time and saw some kangaroos too!

I had a great stay here with my family. The resort has heaps of activities and the staff are helpful and friendly. We had a lovely room and really enjoyed the stay.

They bent over backwards to make my stay relaxing and awesome as it was my birthday - praising them as they were superb! The kayaks & catamarans are free and in the lagoon, easy to use. Met the manager and praised her for the greatness of her staff and her effectiveness in training her staff to please the customers.

Twice in one week, this time for business and the service remains unquestionable.
The reception staff are happy, welling to assist and go out of their way to services you efficiently and smoothly.
The breakfast staff have a team system keeping everyone moving, yet with consideration and respect.

Beautiful gardens and surroundings full of wildlife. Resort and rooms were lovely and clean. Would definitely stay again. Reception and every single staff members were happy, helpful and very accommodating. I arrived late at night and got driven to my room in buggy as it was a fair walk, so I felt safe and taken care of from check-in. Very close to airport and not too far away from big shopping centre by taxi.

We loved this place. The rooms are slightly outdated but not a big deal. Huge space in the whole resort with lots of green and nice atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful. The only thing I would recommend improving is the restaurant menu. Not many vegetables as side options and mostly pub food which you can get a bit sick off after eating on the same place for many days.

The gardens and walkways around it beautiful and relaxing, the sounds of the birds soo calming.

Balcony peaceful looking out onto the garden and a real treat on new years as my disabled son and I got to see the fireworks from it.
I recommend staying here for a respite time.

I was fortunate to attend a conference at the Novotel and was blown away by the experience. from the reception staff who looked after us as we had arrived early and out rooms weren't ready through to all convention centre staff who were an absolute delight to deal with . The opening night meal on the lawns surrounded by Kangaroos was delightful and the food through out my 5 day stay was abundant, tasty and always served with a smile. The forum was an outstanding event with all staff performing with grace, a smile and were very approachable. The room was clean, well set out and very comfortable. My only gripe was the repair and maintenance of the room above me which started at 0630 hrs with a grinder of some sort.

Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful ready to assist and very welcoming- 10/10
Unfortunately the rooms are in desperate need of a renovation as they are dated and stuffy. The promotional pictures are misleading.
The resort has so much potential with unique architecture- but due to the need for a refresh, it has made the stay somewhat disappointing.
The staff really go beyond in the service they provide to guests - from the service desk, ground, housekeeping , bar and restaurant.

We enjoyed 2 nights accommodation in a king room, overlooking the lagoon. The room is spacious with walk in robe and large modern bathroom. The staff were excellent and very friendly. We enjoyed all our meals, especially the breakfast buffet.

We had 2 nights here. Every team member we encountered was friendly and professional. The rooms was perfect and comfortable.
The meals from breakfast to dinner all absolutely delicious.
Facilities were great, kayaking and sailing, we did not leave the resort, it was a relaxing get away.

This is the second time we’re stayed in the deluxe overwater bungalow and we just love it. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, the activities for kids are great, staff are helpful and friendly and the vibe is like a tropical getaway. It’s the closest thing to a south East Asian hotel vibe we’ve found. Love it here.

Avoid Dinner here on a saturday night, the kitchen was very slow. With our group of 10, one couple finished dessert before the another couple received their mains. Conference Facilities are great. Overall a great place for a few days away on the sunshine coast
