Deep Water Bend Reserve

Great little green space not far out of the Brisbane burbs. Boat ramp is good. Good access to the bay. Over fished so not much action.

Snakes aside this is my son's favourite place to go fishing on the north side of Brisbane.

We spent half of Saturday fishing for bream and finger mark. All you need is ultra light weight fishing gear to keep kids entertained for hours. My lad wanted to go back on Sunday to do it all again. I think the Nintendo has competition for my boys free time.

It's a well thought out fishing area, playground and park. We used the electric bbq to cook lunch and the shaded fishing areas made it sun safe.

We find fishing at low tide gets the best results.

One of the best places to spend a day at any time of year, however particularly pleasant on a sunny winters day☀

If you have a boat and want easy access to the northern end of Moreton Bay or the Pine River for fishing or skiing then the boat ramp here gives easy access to both.

There are sheltered picnic tables and free council electric BBQs available for cooking up a storm, and the Tinchi Tamba wetlands nature reserve is a short walk away🌿

The pontoons and over-water platforms are the perfect spot to wet a line, or even to throw a cast net for prawns when they are running🦐

The fishing is good too from the shoreline, with flathead and bream most commonly caught (in my experience anyway).

A little gem, hidden away. There are good spots for fishing, walking, riding bikes, boat ramps (if you're fortunate enough to have a boat or dinghy)& public toilets.

Nice. There was a roo and baby roo or wallaby or whatever they didn't hang out long. Then Saw a snake in the water 2nd one that evening. The water smelled bad it wasn't snakes fault. It was pollution. Apparently mangroves and stuff aren't meant to smell like poo soup. It's what's in the environment around it. How are humans even allowed to go near like nudgee beach and those swamp holes. Might as well swim in a dunny. At least a dunny doesn't have sea lice.

Great spot to through in a line and feed the fish. Small fish caught on the incoming high tide and great for a bit of fun but you end up feeding them rather than catching. Other patrons always pleasant. Nice for a few hours out

Perfect boating, kayaking, picnic and fishing spot. Access to loads of nooks in the river. Always loads of fish (and mozzies!). BBQ , playground and toilets. Nice walk through the bush with views of the river, kangaroos, insect and birdlife, includinga bird hut. Part boardwalk so suitable for push/wheelchairs.

According to the internet there are fish here and I wanted to get some to enrich my cat's diet. We tried to catch them but unfortunately were unable to do so. The sunset view was pretty though, 5 stars.

Good flat walking track with beautiful views and picnic area

Lovely tucked away place, nice bit of fishing, plenty of tables to sit at, great walking tracks. Even Saw some local wildlife and some Kangaroos 🦘

Great short walk, going at dusk is the best time to see the kangaroos, but don’t forget the areogard!

Great for all day fishing and BBQ for family. Good for solo fishing too

Good for Bream fishing. Good for a chill day with the family. Bring spray for the mozzies and you’re set. Would not use the bathroom though.

Cracker spot for a fish, boat, dog walk or picnic. There are bird hides and areas where kangaroos can be seen grazing. Nice sheltered escape if the wind is up at the beach. Bbq's and sheltered areas with water and tables.

Beautiful park to spend the day with the family with a nice boat ramp and jetty.

A fabulous part of Brisbane that is probably much like it has been through the ages. Excellent facilities (not here for the ages) and a pristine natural environment.
