Friendly Grocer

Love this corner store, so much variety and love the international food! I have been going here for years even before it was friendly grocer. Staff are always polite. Lady serving me this afternoon was not so polite, quite abrupt and rude. Was answering with “mhm” after asking for a bag, didn’t say hello or anything or have a good day.

Staff are always friendly and helpful.
The range of food and everyday stuff is huge.

Friendly Staff

I stopped going here for a while, because I didn’t feel the staff were kind and respectful. But when I went the last couple of days and was served by Jacqie I thought the business was taken over by new management. I was told she just works there a few days per week. Honestly, she is the most friendly staff member I’ve dealt with there. The service is quick and very pleasant!

I used to always go in fairly regularly, buy a couple of bits of things I missed shopping, I go in sometimes still.

There are just two things I have issues with, one is that staff never seem to be wearing masks, the odd one does, or they have them on, just under their chins.

The other is one of the younger staff, don't know her name, very quiet brunette, she's always very hostile, everyone has a bad day, but I went in the other day and still the same with her. You feel guilty for having gone in to the store, never speaks other than to tell you how much you owe, and just comes across incredibly rude, definitely not a Friendly Grocer when she's working.
