It's been 10 years since I had my multi focal implants done by Dr Lenton, I could not be happier, I have enjoyed perfect vision for 10 years. Still require no glasses 🤓

Dr Lenton and Anthea Nalder were a complete dream team for me. My vision was -7.00 and I have completed Lasik with better than 20/20 vision.

I was actually really quite scared of the whole procedure and healing however, everything was explained and they were always just a call away and easy to get a hold of throughout the last few months.

When it came to the surgery, the procedure was completely painless, so incredibly quick and streamlined (in and out of theatre in less than 10 minutes) and surprisingly, thanks to the team, I actually enjoyed myself and had a nice relaxing morning. Even looking at the laser was cool. The next two days after the topical anesthetic wore off were taken care of by only one or two Panadol and I was quite comfortable. In the end, nothing to be frightened of after all.

I highly recommend Anthea, Dr Lenton and this practice. I know they cannot guarantee results, however, my experience has been incredible - I love seeing the edges of things, wearing a mask without glasses fogging up and not reaching for a pair of glasses before I even open my eyes in the morning. Even the simple act of giving a hug to a tall person doesn't squish glasses to my face lol - put quite simply, my life has changed so much for the better. Thank you.

Thank you Dr Lenton for making it possible for me to receive such a wonderful gift...my sight back again. What an experience and one I am enjoying, a little shocked to see how my white interior of the house was not white and a few more lines than expected, but I have a new energy...I feel great. Your team Lenton including anesthetist Dr Bruce, were simply the best. I will be back for the 2nd eye op soon....regards Sandy Scott

I had such a great experience with my Lasek eye surgery at the clinic. Not only was everyone so helpful and encouraging (I was a little bit hesitant), but the results were fantastic. It is now two weeks post-surgery and my eyes just keep getting better. No complications and as long as you follow the post-op advice, totally smooth sailing! So happy to be able to see clearly again and my eyes haven't even fully reached their peak yet! Totally recommend.

I am very happy to have chosen Dr Lenton and his team for my LASIK experience. My post-op vision has exceeded my expectations (20/20). The thought of having a procedure completed on your eyes is quite daunting, but the team at VEI were excellent. My only recommendation is to FOLLOW THEIR POST-OP ADVICE. I suffered a little bit of dryness after surgery, but that was due to me not following their advice. They've done this +18k times before, don't try to mess with the system. If they say 1-drop, only use 1-drop, 2-drops isn't automatically better. In saying that, I found it much better to strap a pair of safety glasses to my head than use the shields provided.

Great experience, super professional service. Everyone at the clinic was very friendly and helpful, and I am now the third person out of my circle of friends who came out of here with perfect vision and impressed with the service. I went to another clinic in Brisbane before to see whether I was suitable for LASIK, but the tests done at Vision Eye Institute were much more extensive and Andy the optometrist really talks you through everything instead of just showing an information video. Thumbs up, and special thanks to Andy who always made the appointments fun!

Had Lasik surgery to correct my short-sightedness in both eyes. One week in and I am very happy with the result - can see clearly without glasses. Have not had any issues since the surgery, apart from the usual inconveniences over the first day or so, but was well worth - should have done it years ago.

Would highly recommend to anyone.

I had both lenses replaced with multifocal. I needed Lasik adjustment on one eye to get the vision perfect. I'm now 9 months post the first surgery. My eyesight is now perfect. No more thick and expensive multifocal glasses with a narrow field of focus. Having worn glasses since 3 years old this is totally awesome. My distance vision is perfect and I can see the smallest print on the phone etc. easily. I'm reading books again. Would I do this again ....definitely and very happy with everyone at Vision Eye Institute.

I'm 1 week post lasik. So far so good. I have better than 20/20 vision and can actually see long distances more sharper than with glasses. (I was about -2.5 both eyes)

As others have said, you won't see much of Dr Lee Lenton pre and post op but you'll speak to Andy the optomotrist (top bloke) who has been doing the job of pre and post surgery for 10 years. Dr Lee is flat out actually performing surgeries... the day I had mine done he had 21 cataract ops and 8 lasik. I personally would rather have my eyes done by someone who has done thousands of lasiks with year of experience like Dr Lenton.

The procedure itself took probably 3 minutes per eye total. Wasn't painful, just uncomfortable and intense.

Staff and nurses were professional and friendly.

Only issues I have with my eyes is starburts/flaring at night when I look at streetlights etc. But I'm told this will go in the next couple of weeks.

I had Lasik Surgery 6 weeks ago. I was a little apprehensive as didn't know much about the process and someone had left a one star review (down to the receptionist attitude! That was helpful!) So here is my review for anyone considering.
My father had his eyes lasered 20 years ago in the UK and encouraged me to go so i booked in a consultation. From the first contact and consultation i was blown away by the professionalism and openness of the team. After some testing, all straight forward vision testing - i was told i had the right eyes to go ahead, so i went for it and booked in 1 month later. The day of surgery i met Dr Lenton and we had a chat about the procedure. The nurses were great and the longest part was prepping for the procedure, they numb your eyes with drops and that all takes 25/30 mins. Once you're in scrubs and eyes are numb, you go through to the theatre. You lay down on a bed and they cover one eye while they laser the other. You are wheeled underneath the laser and Dr Lenton talks you through the process, they clamp (not as bas as it sounds, a little uncomfortable - but you have stress balls to squeeze through out!) your eyes open and keep putting the anaesthetic eye drops into your eye. You see a green light and then the red lasers go off. This lasts for around a few seconds and its done. They cover the just lasered eye and uncover the second eye and the same process begins. All in all about 10/12 minutes. Once that is done they wheel you out and slowly sit you up - ask a few questions and you then go into the recovery room to get picked up (you need someone to take you home). In the room your vision is a little cloudy but i could instantly see the clock across the room!
You have to keep putting eye drops in for the next few weeks as the lasers damage your tear ducts for a few months.
You have to apply these every hour at first, then 4-6 times a day and now after 6 weeks i apply when needed.
My monthly eye test showed better than 20/20 on my left eye and 20/20 on my right.
I have to be careful with my eyes, swimming, sports etc at the moment, thats to be expected - but the process and result is a life changer. I highly recommend Dr Lee Lenton and his team.

I have just had my LASIK procedure with Dr Lenton last week and already have sensational results and couldn't be happier. My time with Lee was brief and mainly dealt with Andy who works with Lee setting it up and the procedure was seamless and painful - can't recommend them enough for anyone considering LASIK - my results were above my expectations

LASIK is truly a miracle procedure. I have been wearing contacts and glasses for most of my life and couldn't stand the restrictions that came with it. These guys have given me a result that far exceeded my expectations, I now have better that 20/20 vision and can actually see better than I ever have with contacts or glasses. There's so much detail in the world around me that I now notice. Dr Lenton talked me through the procedure as it was happening, I was totally at ease and didn't experience any pain, just a bit of discomfort (mainly from dry eyes) for a few days after which is normal. Andy, the optometrist was an absolute champ too and looked after me before and after the procedure. He's really knowledgable and also gave me some good laughs. I would highly recommend Vision Laser to anyone considering getting LASIK.

My 20 year old son, who has autism and Tourette’s, just had the Lasik procedure with Dr. Lenton. I honestly cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Lenton and his entire team. They were focused and attentive, and completely accommodating to my son’s challenges. From Sharna organising everything and answering my son’s nonstop questions, to all of the nursing staff, especially Julie – who was truly, truly amazing!!, and Dr. Lenton being very understanding and patient with my son during the procedure (he deserves a medal!!). My son’s vision improved immediately and has gotten even better now a week later. The procedure was a complete success and I don’t believe I could have gotten better service and care from anywhere else. I would recommend Dr. Lenton and his team to anyone – especially if they have a child, or they have, a disability or challenge.
