Kee Kong Chinese Restaurant

One of the best Chinese restaurants around. Excellent food, value for money. Service is excellent. I recommend deep fried icecream for dessert.

Brilliant little Chinese restaurant, we ate in the restaurant and loved the food! Was actually quite sad to see how quiet it was given how friendly the staff were and how nice the food was.

One minor bit of feedback - Restaurant needs a bit of background music or something on in the evening, when we went there were only 3 x tables taken, the place was quiet as the grave and it made you feel like you couldn't talk above a whisper. We could literally hear every word of the conversations on the neighbouring tables, even though they were whispering!

Very happy to have found a great Chinese restaurant in Cairns. Went there for my son's birthday ... 4 kids and 2 adults. The food was absolutely amazing ... well presented, tasty, and not too slow to arrive despite being a busy Saturday night. Good value for money for the family. Love being able to share platters. The sweet & sour pork is possibly the best we've ever tasted. Staff were very friendly. Yes, the decor is a bit dated but we liked that!! It's not the cookie-cutter decor you see everywhere these days.

While on holiday in Cairns, my husband and I decided to google Chinese restaurants and purchase some takeaway meals.
There were several restaurants listed. I was glad that I chose to go to Kee Kong Chinese Restaurant which wasn't far from our accommodation.
My meal of pork in plum sauce was absolutely delicious. My husband had sweet and sour chicken. He was very happy with it.
There were heaps of vegies in both meals and the servings were plentiful. We also purchased a large fried rice which was fresh and tasty.
We would certainly recommend this restaurant for their takeaway meals, for anyone visiting Cairns.

The food here is great, staff are excellent and from time of order until food is served is sensational, irrespective of how busy they are. Beef black bean, honey king prawns, lemon chicken and sweet and sour pork are all sensational dishes

Food was absolutely delicious. Amazing customer services. Loving the retro vibes of the restaurant. Would 100% recommend.

If you want an 80's original experience this place has not changed.
Prices are cheap great large menu and food comes out extremely fast.
Perfect for a working lunch.

Their $10 lunch menu is the best deal in Cairns. It comes with a small appetizer of 2 spring rolls and a prawn cracker, and the main is your choice of rice dish, topped off with tea/coffee/chinese tea. Really appetizing and delicious food, would go back again.

Everything is fresh and cooked as you order this is one of the best Chinese restaurants in town that I have come across so fare and it had been around for over 30+ years. Can't get better then what these guys offer 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
