The Trident Fish & Grill

As a Sydneysider, who has been temporarily residing in Lismore for the past 4 months, what a pleasant delight it was to stumble across this lovely spot for fish and chips amidst the main strip of Alstonville.

I had the grilled Barramundi with chermoula Moroccan spice rub served on a bed of rice with wilted spinach. Without a doubt this was the best grilled fish I’ve ever had in Australia from a local takeaway shop. The freshness and quality of the seafood was evident in every bite.

The staff were warm and pleasant and the owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome.

A meal here is not be missed for anyone thinking about visiting the Northern Rivers.

Yummy chicken burger, happy to enjoy beetroot, too. Service was friendly, environmentally clean, and hygienic. Good outlook too.

Travelling through staying in Alstonville we came in to get 2 x classic burgers and the basket for 1, from first bite all I heard was WOW from my husband. He said it was the best burger he has had in ages. Definitely recommend.
Oh the the seafood basket was delicious as well. Well done.

The variety of seafood options they have to offer is impressive. From crispy fish and chips to mouthwatering gourmet burgers, they've got it all. 🐟🍟🍤 And the best part? Everything tasted incredibly fresh and flavourful. 🌿👌
The service was top-notch too! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed.

Staff are always friendly and helpful, the food is always on point. I eat there at least once a week, the patatoe scallops are 5 star! The cheese burgers are amazing and the chicken salt on the chips tops it all off.

I am from Sydney and have had my fair share of vegan burgers, the plant based burger has been the best I have ever had! It had amazing texture, a beautiful meaty taste, and so many flavours!
My husband got the Halloumi burger and says it was so good! "Add the hash brown it gives it a great texture, simple yet effective"
We are coming back everytime we visit from now on, and probably will be back multiple times this trip.

The best gluten and dairy free fish burgers in Northern Rivers of NSW. They also have other really yummy options on their menu too... The online ordering platform is super handy, giving you the option to select and tailor your meal exactly how you require and they are great with allergy and food preferences.

Great establishment who absolutely nail the classic fish and chips. Staff were very friendly and accommodating creating a fantastic atmosphere. Be sure to check them out!

The chicken and bacon burger was huge and delicious and the bacon and cheese loaded fries were just as great! Tried both the chocolate and strawberry thickshakes and they were definitely a nice way to cool down on a hot day. Place was busy when we arrived but our order was ready quickly with great service. Will be back again.

Classic burger was good (so were the added pickles) the chips could have been cooked a bit more as they were soggy and under cooked.
Service and atmosphere was good.

Excellent service, clean premises. Clean oil and food cooked to perfection. I'm difficult as I change this a bit to suit me and they are very happy to cater to my needs, or wants. I live in Mullumbimby and this is my go to fish and chip shop. Burgers are excellent. If you haven't been there you are missing out on better food than you have ever had.

My interactions with owner and girls working were full of joy and pleasant conversation, the food was beyond delicious, I got a burger with the works and added roast eggplant, onion rings and pickles and it was insanely good 👌

The calamari is very Moorish, perhaps the best I've had. The service is a bit hit and miss sometimes, oh the youth, Manager is a legend and I loom forward to him giving a speech at town Hall sometime soon. If you're after quality then this is the place.

This place combines the quality and productivity of a “proper restaurant “ and the customer service of the local takeaway we all love. Was sold on a jar of pickles which are worth every penny ( made in house aswell !!)
Ill be back with and empty stomach eager for more.

Some of the best grilled fish I’ve ever outside of fancy fish restaurants. I had the Cajun spiced barramundi which was a hearty, wholesome portion with perfectly spiced fish. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Mikala is the best server! Always has a smile on her face and is very personable. The food is always good and I always feel heard if I have any suggestions to make. A good sense of community here. I really dig this place!!

Love Trident , i Pre ordered some oysters for our anniversary, they were awesome , the crew so helpful , such a great business.
