Cafe 86 on Main

This cafe went “above and beyond” for our small group celebrating my Mum’s birthday. They had listened to my requirements and had everything prepared, right down to the dips and platters ready to start when we arrived. All the food was delicious, and the coffee was the BEST COFFEE we all had had in years! The staff brought Mum’s cake and sang Happy Birthday, and a young staff member even took the time at the end to quietly come and tell Mum that she hoped she enjoyed the rest of her birthday, and that she had enjoyed serving us - talk about service! Exceptional! Thank you all!

I ordered a tandoori chicken curry & veg with jasmine rice special..beautiful mild curry, chicken was nice and tender with the perfect accompaniment of roast vegetables, ...presentation of the dish looked really good and staff are so friendly and helpful...highly recommend

We've just returned from a lovely lunch at Cafe 86 on Main and everything about it was wonderful. We were a table of four and had the Barramundi Special of the Day, Battered Flathead and two Halloumi Salads, all of which were delicious, prepared in great time and beautifully presented.
We also had coffees and a chai latte afterwards which is now my favourite place to come for chai! The staff are all lovely and polite, especially Ali who was super friendly, chatty and gave us the most lovely gift (thanks Ali).
We would recommend coming here, especially on a sunny day as the outdoor area is lovely to sit and enjoy your meal while the world goes by.

It's a little sunny cafe in a quiet town. Breakfast menu of egg benedits stopped at 11am so we ordered some today's special for lunch: pork belly burger and squid pepper salade.
Pork belly is quite sweet and funky, but very tasty. pepper squid is yummy too. Soy cap was very creamy but a bit bitter according to my taste :)
In general a good restaurant, waitress came and check on us from time to time, which is great. would recommend.

Great service for getting a Coffee on the go with consistent quality. Having a light lunch meal with a variety of beverages is a delight there as well. Well thought out Menu’s in a pleasant environment with a choice of table seats inside and out of the historic Main Street Building being the old Post Office. Efficient table service makes a visit with great Staff.

Had dinner last night and back for coffee and cake this morning. Yummy.

Absolutely amazing food and excellent service... Love this place, unfortunately missed the breakfast menu but no regrets as all menus are just yummy... Staffs are so friendly... Always 5 🌟 in my books ❤

Found this via reviews, so we're doing the same for the next travellers. Enjoyed cosy brekkie here and smiley service. Great vege bowl, eggs benny and sour dough. Kids loved their pancakes. Coffee was great👌☕.

Coffee is consistently high quality...food is good...service prompt and friendly...located in the lovely village of Alstonville in the historic post office building... definitely worth a visit.

Bloody great place for a light meal or tea/coffee. Staff are wonderful and brighten up the day. Love siting out on the deck, tea in hand and watching the world go by.

Great coffee, I love the Merlo brand, enjoyable food but overall it's the fantastic staff is what makes this place rock. They were 100% awesome on multiple visits I made there while on holiday recently. I'll be back.
