Hong Kong Cafe Chatswood 港夠味

Oh my god. This god literally feels like it took me back to Hong Kong for a short moment. The staff and atmosphere is almost identical to what you find there and the food is glorious. I’m usually a sucker for a standard meal but I had to get a set meal and I had no regrets. I was beyond chuffed and the food was so good I couldn’t move an inch with how much I chowed down. I highly recommend the baked pork chop rice here. It’s a classic and well worth trying if you haven’t already or need a recommendation

Love the great vibe with the feels of local Hong Kong authentic seating.
Staff are very well mannered and polite, thus recommended us with the specials and afternoon tea set.
The deep fried chicken soft bones was really a must try ! Crispy on outside and tender inside where we can really ate the soft bones. Unlike some other places, the soft bones were too hard to even chew. This is cooked perfectly well.
I had the pork knuckle with peanut noodles soup was so tasty and the meat on the pork knuckle was so soft it just melt in my mouth.
I used to come here for the cart noodles way before it changed management with my friends whom most all of them becoming mum and dad now. Time flies….

On an Australian standard this Hong Kong style cafe is sufficient to satisfy some Hong Kong taste buds.

The pineapple bun was pretty good, good enough to return to this restaurant for it. The Hong Kong style milk tea was superb - very close to the taste in Hong Kong! The other dishes were pretty yummy as well. Not entirely the same as ones in Hong Kong but it’s quite close!

If you’re craving for Hong Kong food then this restaurant definitely fulfills the desire. It won’t be fair to criticise it by comparison with ones in Hong Kong as the ingredients are not the same.

great hk cafe tucked behind a few Asian grocers in Victoria Plaza. the texture of the rice noodle rolls was on point! would return 🙂

update 2023 June: still yummy, even if prices have gone up a little.

Traditional Hong Kong cafe (茶餐廳) style menu, we ordered Bake pork chop tomato rice with cream soup, stir fried noodles and pineapple bun with butter, all tasty and nice. Reasonable price and very friendly service, will definitely return.

I visited here for an early dinner and had the daily special beef steak.
It included garlic toast and soup, a main dish, and a drink.

It was a much larger than I expected and a great value for the price.
I couldn't finish it and took it home, and I regretted having lunch before going there.

I will definitely return, and next time I will visit on an empty stomach!

My favourite dish is the curry beef brisket and black pepper beef baked rice... OMG it's so satisfying!

Brought back great memories of growing up in the 80s. Beef brisket was tender and tasty, laska had great depth of flavour, prawn with scrambled eggs and rice was comfort food on steroids. Was a good 25 percent cheaper than yum cha. Will happily return again.

Everything that I’ve ordered from here so far has been so delicious! I am both impressed by their huge range of authentic offerings on the menu as well as their ability to always deliver on taste.

Even their drink selection is incredible. I keep going back in for more. Highly recommend!
