Whispers on the Wharf

It doesn't look like much but I was surprised by this shipping container! I dismissed it at first, but after I asked locals blocks away where they got their coffee from and was told Whispers, I gave it a go!

Delicious coffee. And great location, right next to the park and ferry terminal.

My only watch-out is that babyccinos are $3.50, which is steep for steamed milk. Most likely a next-to-the-park surcharge.

Wow!! If you are after the best chippies, look no further!! Golden goodness! Feel like a toastie? They've got you covered with a wide variety! I would definitely also recommend the BLAT. Heaps of super crispy bacon on a bun with fresh tomato and lettuce and AVO-goodness! The coffee thickshake is a must to round off any of the amazing menu items! Best decision was made to drop in to Whispers for a bite to eat. Seriously the best chips I've had in Newcastle. Big call I know!

Had the Schnitty Burger which was outstanding as well! Perfect location and perfect food, well done guys, I'll be back for sure!

Can't really complain about anything. Good service. Friendly staff. They do an amazing chai latte. Cannot recommend whispers more. Go check is out yourself. Great scenery. And quite quick for the quality of the food. (high quality I do have to say)

Nice location right next to Stockton Active Hub and Ferry Wharf. Staff service is friendly and helpful. The Coffee is good, with plenty of options available for alternative milks. The vegie toasty is packed full of flavour and a great lunch option.

Love this place. Conveniently located just as you get off the ferry. Prices were great, got a milkshake that was amazing. Has seats to chill out. Staff were awesome and gave us some extra chips when they made to many. If you're visiting stop in for sure.

Our first time here. I was so happy to see this cafe! Last time we came to the park after catching the ferry over from Newcastle, there was no cafe and we were saying how much the park needed one. The customer service from Chloe and Lewis today was 10/10!!!! Well done. They went above and beyond to give us a pleasurable experience.

I've only just started going here. My job means that I get to tour around the Hunter Valley area and I have to grab lunch where I can. Last week it landed me at the Ferry Terminal where I came across Whispers on the Wharf.
The service is fast and the staff are pleasant, the coffee is hot and made to perfection if only a little too much froth for a latte.
I ordered a Rueben Sandwich that was served in a cardboard box with a generous helping of crisps.
The sandwich was delightful.

My only complaint is that the takeaway cup was not large enough.

I will be back for sure.

Staff are always absolutely amazing and the food is always brilliant. Plus they're nice to my dog.

Great quality and tasty food. Rueben sandwich was brilliant and the best chips the kids (and I) have had in Newcastle (and possibly anywhere). The ice cream was also great - amazing how much is on offer.

Bought some food while waiting for the ferry. Had calamari and chips. Melted in my mouth. Also had chocolate ice cream which was great.

The cafe is great, but the location on the map is not the cafe; it is a toilet block that has been there for many, many years. This Google map needs to be updated pretty badly as the new skate park and cafe are not in this image.

My wife and I tried these guys while waiting for the ferry. Absolutely amazing coffee and bacon and egg rolls. Really bloody good!!! Will be visiting them again very soon. YUM!!!
